I was invited to London this past weekend to judge the Eurocosplay finals at MCM Expo. It was an amazing experience and I had a lot of fun. Took a million photos. Some of them will be working their way here.
I also recently finished my dream costume of Battle Angel Alita a few weeks ago for NYCC. You can see it under my cosplay account RuffleButtCosplay (https://www.deviantart.com/rufflebuttcosplay) It meant a great deal to finally finish it.
Things are finally winding down. Done with cons for the year and will hopefully be home for a while, minus a wedding this month. Birthday was yesterday. I'm an old woman. Nothing else new to report really. Just going to keep doing what I do an
Watched the Mars landing today with Curiosity. It really was a beautiful thing. Seems the entire internet fell in love with Mohawk guy. As did I~ It really is a good time to be a nerd.
I did make a giant rant recently that became a lot more popular than I wanted it to about nerds treating other nerds like shit and gatekeeping fandoms. While most the feedback was positive, I did get some negative, which only solidified my argument. I feel I've been more angry at people than usual. But between Americans choosing disgusting fast food over equal rights and having to fight people for my own rights, it's been an exhausting year.
