Felt like adding some 'shop color to this one for some reason. Not sure why, but it seemed right to go all grey and stuff. Maybe it's an inner reflection of my soul. Or maybe it just turned out that way. Or maybe I'm just lazy because multiple colors are hard.

This is a great work.

It left me thinking... You know, in school we had this idea of using clear, single lines for drawing. Till this day, drawing with "furry", "jagged" lines was stuck in my head as messy and not being confident of what you were drawing.
Boy, how wrong I feel now.

I liked the darkness of this work.....but, all of your work is excellent.

so did you draw the legs first and then covered with the skirt or you're just really comfortable with the leg design on your kwilt girls to draw a skirt with their leg contour with no problem?

the colors worked great, and somehow I'm getting a Klimt vibe with the figure.

Yeah, I just drew the skirt. And thanks.

Well, this is probably my favorite one to date. How big are these pieces by the way?
Devilpig's avatar
Thanks. They're 12x16 on watercolor paper.

not at all - the color palette looks like the old art posters from early last century. not the figurework though.

Ahhh, thanks. I'm trying new things for me. That included darker colors.

i really dig those flat neutral palettes!

They're scary because they have the potential to print so bad. It's something I'm slowly trying in small doses on covers.

yeah, print has a way to mess with excellence.

So right in all the "wrong" places. Kudos my friend.
