Ringworld: Puppeteer by devilevn Ringworld: Puppeteer by devilevn
I'm reading Ringworld by Larry Niven. I don't really like the book at all but I like this alien so I drew it!

Better than Barlowe's -- and that's saying something!

I like your take on Pierson's Puppeteer, but for some reason, it looks very sad.

This is definitely one of the better interpretations of a puppeteer that I've seen. Nicely done :)

I was reading it some minutes ago. And I agree, it's not all that good. I really like some of the concepts, like the Puppeteer (why else would I get here?) and some other things, like you sayd, it's more fun to read about it on wikipedia (or TV Tropes) than the book itself.

You were able to read this book? Dude, you are my hero!
I tried several times but couldn't make even through first three chapters. I tried several translations but i have such a feeling that original is even worse when it comes about language...

Yeah!!!
I can't bring myself to actually check out the book and read it, but there are a lot of concepts he came up with that I just really love researching on the ole' Wiki.

Pierson's Puppeteers have kind of haunted me since I first read about them.

Honestly reading about it on wikipedia is probably better than reading the book. I hate hate hate the way the book is written!

I remember reading it some years ago and thinking that the characters and "plot" were just shallow stilts to support describing in intricate detail this idea he had for a setting.

Oh! I have an illustration book that has this alien and a bunch of information on it.
It's a nice surprise to see it in my updates in your style.

No problem!Ah, is that the title of the book? I lost the cover to it, so it looks like a simple black book.

And no problem, this looks accurate to the depiction.

Oh SHIIIIIII-

I've never read the book myself, but I like its concept, and I hear some of the books that got spawned by it are pretty rad. I remember liking one of the old adventure games it spawned.
