This is a simple, HOW TO on Joker's Scars. I had a few people ask me how I made mine and the honest truth is, it's just practice. Knowing where to flatten and make the skin rise.

I hope this helps someone out there. :D

EDIT: I completely forgot to add the final touch! A picture with the scar on real skin. If it wasn't red, it would blend better but that's the basics of it. If you want to know how to apply it to the skin, it's really simple. You just stick on your skin (Spirit gum to hold it if you're going to wear it for over an hour) and smooth out the edges. The Fake Skin is already very sticky and will stay in place 90% of the time.

I prefer rigid collodion and paint, but that's just because of the crazy face poses and danger of them falling off during a long day x3
Awesome though! Just needs the shape and it'd be the coolest looking scars evar :D

Are these re-useable? Or are new scars needed every time? And do you recommend doing measurements for the size of the scars first?
I plan on cosplaying MR. J a few times this year, so I'm kind of curious. Your how-to is rather helpful :)

reusable only if you treat them with care. Better to use a new set every time though.

I've seen people use rigid collodion to make the indents of the scars (its a clear liquid that as it dries it will wrinkle the skin giving the scar effect)and then add fake skin for the bumpy bits. here's the clip of how it looks ;)

Cool. Um, exactly what is Spirit gum?

lol. Spirit Gum is an adhesive that they use to put latex or silicone to an actor's skin.
