Baby footprints, based off hospital prints. This is my first 'footprint' design, my first script writing and the 38th tattoo I've done.
i love this who did your tat
who did this very nice
looks great. you are really good at doing small scale work. Love the pink and blue so nice and bright.
Thanks, hun! I think I may just specialize in small stuff for a while.. seems I've got a knack for it
Looks great. I like how the hearts disappear where the script is. Well done
Haven't done any footprints yet, but I always wondered how I might tackle it...looks like you didn't line it, you just shaded it out...that's probably how I would handle it. How did you find doing the lettering? Tricky eh? trying to do nice lettering while not losing your stencil! It looks nice and tiny also, I'd like to see how this heals for the footprints.
Yeah, I wanted them to look more like footprints and less like a stamp, so I didn't outline the prints. I'm excited to see how they look after healing.. may need a little touching up, but we'll see. I found a good method for not botching my stencil when doing fine details, like lettering - I run the needle, instead of the tube, and I dry blot instead of wet wiping. It helps ALOT. Also, I do the lettering from right to left and pretend in my mind that it's just a design instead of writing.. that way, I'm not tempted to use my own handwriting style.
