[CWV] Lonely Contemplation
The further Alistar went into the forest, he noticed that it was really quiet, except for a few birds chirping and the rustle of leaves as a few other animals made their way through, exploring and enjoying the feeling of Fall before the cold air of Winter came to greet them.
Alistar had to admit, the quiet solitude of being out on his own was a bit lonely. It was just too quiet for his liking and at first he enjoyed it, but now he was starting to hate it.
He hadn’t seen many other herds wandering around the valley yet, which made him wonder, did he just not explore enough once he left on his own?
If that was the case, where would a good place to start be?
To be quite honest, Alistar was starting to think that maybe he didn’t know as much about the valley as he thought he did. Sure his herd would move but it was only during Fall or was it during Winter?
Alistar shook his head, he couldn’t really remember. He also wasn’t really sure how to go about finding other herds by

Akasha’s ears twitched, hearing the soft pad of paw prints behind her as she enjoyed her meal, quickly she turned around and stared at the two wolves who had decided to join her.
She blinks a few times, looking them over, staying close to her meal.
“Can I help you?” She asked, keeping her eyes on them as she stood guard.
As she continued to stare at them, she actually wondered if maybe the two wolves were brothers or just from the pack?
Their pelt colors were almost the same color except that one of their bellies was darker than the other’s.
The wolf with the darker underbelly stopped and glanced at the one with a white underbelly as he slowly padded his way over, a feather in his teeth with his head down, delivering a quick glance at her meal.
“We’re not here to fight. We were taking a walk, hunting, when we lost our target.” The dark bellied wolf explained.
“When we caught its scent again, we saw that you had caught it first.”
“Yeah and?” Akasha replied, still on guard, even
Alistar made his way through the forests of Cottonwood Valley, his tail swaying back and forth gently as he took in his surroundings.
Now that Fall had arrived, the once green leaves upon the trees had turned multiple colors and fallen onto the ground around them.
A few leaves were being blown away by the wind, which made him slightly shiver since it was getting cold. However, he didn’t mind much.
He was used to the brisk cold of Fall weather, it was Winter he was more worried about.
Speaking of Winter, what was he going to do before then? Admittedly, he hadn’t thought that far ahead.
Trying to decide if he should find a cave somewhere to stay in or just endure outside like his herd usually did.
He could always go North but, going North now didn’t seem like much of an option in this valley. Or maybe it was? He didn’t really check or ask his parents before leaving.
Alistar sighed, “Good job Alistar, you really should’ve asked your parents about that before you left.”
Actually

“Hello?! Is anyone out here?! Is anyone okay?!” Maria called, making her way through the town, a lantern in hand as she kept an ear out for anyone.
“Over here!” Someone called, waving their arm from the doorway.
“I don’t know what’s wrong with him. I tried to help but he got angry and tried to attack me.” The Pokemon said, pointing to a closed door that rattled and shook.
“Do you have an extra lantern anywhere?” Maria asks, tilting her head curiously.
“Uhm, I think so. Let me see.” They said, leaving the room.
“I found one!” The Pokemon said, holding the lantern out towards Maria.
“Okay now, I’m going to open the door on the count of three and when I do, I want you to hold the lantern over them.” She explained, standing on the other side of the door.
On three, she opened the door and a Pikachu gijinka lunged at them, only to be stopped immediately and flop on the ground once the lantern light hit them.
“W-what happened?” The Pikachu asked, looking around wearily.
The other

Mink whinnies and rears up, stepping backwards frantically as something loud lands in front of her. She shakes her mane and huffs as Abigail makes her way over, laughing loudly.
“Sorry, sorry. I had to do that.” She says, reaching up and petting Mink’s snout.
“There there, you’re okay. It’s alright.” She reassures, moving to grab the bells she had thrown in front of her and holding it up and shaking it to make them jingle.
Today she was going to try and desynthesize Mink with a scary object, figuring that it would be easier.
Abigail moved around Mink quickly, shaking the bells at different angles and distances, closely watching and observing her reactions to it.
“Huh, you got used to those bells really quick actually. I thought it would take much longer.” She says, making her way over and giving her a pear to munch on.
“Let’s see… what else can I do to help with the desynthesization?” She says, tapping her chin.
“Oh I know!” She exclaimed, clapping before going to grab the halter

“Good morning Mink! Today, we’re going to exercise!” Abigail exclaimed, gently petting the horse’s head and neck as she sets down her bag and grabs all of the equipment she needs, placing the halter and reign on the end of her nose then moving to her front and black legs, carefully slipping some boots on her hooves, making sure they’re comfy before stepping back and looking over her work and giving a thumbs up.
“There! I think you’re ready!” She says tapping her chin. “Hm, if I remember right I think maybe at least ten minutes of going around in a circle is good for you then a few breaks so nothing happens to you. We don’t want any accidents.” She says, petting Mink’s head and neck again.
Mink huffs then stomps her feet, seeming to get a feel for the weird horse boots before scraping the ground curiously then huffing again.
“Aww I know but the stablehand said that these boot things would help you with lunging training. I’ll take them off during your break, okay?” Abigail says, gently
Alistar takes a deep breath as he stands on the large hill of his new home, tail swaying behind him as he looks back at his herd.
It was finally time for him to be out on his own and to be honest, he was actually really excited albeit kind of scared and nervous too.
Holding his head high he looked out upon the horizon, he was ready! He was born for this! It was his destiny! Okay, he wouldn’t go that far but it was something all young stallions had to do in their lifetime.
“Just remember what dad taught you and all the advice the other stallions gave and you’ll be alright.” He said to himself, huffing as he shook his mane out, a cool breeze brushing against him.
“Bye honey we’ll miss you!” He heard his mother call, from a distance.
Alistar chuckled. “I’ll miss you too mom!”
“Do your best out there son! Make sure you take care of your herd and find a second in command that you can trust!” His father exclaimed, scraping his hooves against the ground.
“I will dad, don’t worry!” Alistar

Abigail makes her way towards the pastures, waving to the stablehand standing by the gate, making her way over to Mink and gently petting her head.
“Good morning Mink! Ready for another day of training?” She asks, gently petting her neck as she carefully places the halter on her head, making sure it wasn’t too tight or too loose.
“There, nice and comfy?” She asks, attaching the lead to it.
“Okay, hopefully I’ll be doing this right.” She says, sighing softly as she gently takes the lead into her hand and walks over to the side, bringing the lead with her, watching Mink closely.
Mink flicked her tail back and forth, ears flicking every now and then, not really moving until she felt the soft pressure of the lead being pulled in a direction, making her turn around.
Abigail’s eyes lit up as a wide smile spread across her face. “Yay it worked!” She exclaimed, before humming softly then moving in front of Mink and removing her halter; moving to the other side and gently placing her hand

[Nordanners] Training Start!
Abigail sat in the waiting area of the stable, a book in hand as she waited for her number to be called. Truth be told, she was very excited and also very nervous.
She had been told that Nordanners were different from other horses due to their upbringing of fighting dragons, which continuously threw her off every time she heard about it.
The fact that there were horses powerful enough to even take down a dragon was amazing in and of itself.
“Number 624?!”
Abigail looked down at her ticket and smiled brightly, picking up her backpack and stuffing the book inside as she made her way over to the counter.
“That’s me!” She exclaimed, handing the person her ticket.
The person turned around and grabbed what looked like a small wooden plaque and handed it to her.
“The name and number on that plaque is the horse you’ll be training. To find her, just head out that door and into the pasture, someone’ll be waiting for you. Give that plaque to them and they’ll take you to your yearling.”

Maria ran around her room screaming, waving her arms excitedly as she squealed and stomped her feet.
“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! The Wayfarer leaders wants to come to a dungeon with me!” She squealed and fell back on her bed, rolling around and kicking her feet, before sitting up and taking a deep breath.
“Okay, I have to make a good impression. This is going to be a test I bet.” She says to herself, tapping her chin in thought as she stands up and paces around her room.
“I mean, it has to be right? This is my first dungeon trip so, I at least have to prove that I’m competent.” She nods firmly then beats her hand with her fist, making her way into the adjoining room and turning on the light.
The room itself looked like an office with a large map hanging on the wall over a large desk where papers and maps were placed. There was even a bookshelf in the corner.
“Okay so, let’s see.” She stares at the map on the wall in thought, focusing and talking to herself as she tries
