A white wolf stands on dark rocks. This predator of the North American wilderness gazes at you. A blizzard has rolled in and snow whips out of the dark night sky. It's as if the animal has summoned the winter storm out of the arctic. It is the wind that howls or are more wolves near by.
White Wolves, also known as arctic wolves or Melville Island wolves are a subspecies of gray wolf that live in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago. They are a bit smaller than the typical gray wolf.
I've created many images with wolves and even several featuring white ones, but I think this is my best image so far to feature a white wolf. Also, a bit unusual for me, this is one of my rare night scenes. However, I didn't want it too dark, so I gave the impression that there is light in the background as if there is some human settlement reflecting light off the low clouds.

Love love love!!! Great job.
Once again, I am gobsmacked by your employing of the different shades of white, gray, and slate on the Arctic wolf, resulting in a full, not a flat, figure. Wondrous!
This is really good. Was disappointed that the image size was too small to use as a desktop background.
wow, that looks really good.
Beautiful picture mate. Wolves and huskies are my favorite animals, so this one really touches close to home
Wow!!! It looks like he's near a highway! *grins that would be a really awesome thing to see on the way home: a white wolf in a white snowstorm standing on a snow covered rock watching you go by. You might not believe you saw it!
Whoa, looks really good! The fur looks amazing, and so does the background!! ^^
I agree! Simply beautiful. I also like the facts in the description. Admire a beautiful picture AND learn a little about wolves, what more could you ask?
So beautifully made !
