I wish there was a 64 bit bottom explorer.exe file =/
I notice that on resource folders for 32 bit explorer.exe there's a "bmp" folder alongside with the exe file, but on the resource folder for 64 bit explorer.exe there's no "bmp" folder, where is the bitmap for this one stored at? Inside the exe file? Can I replace them for a bottom bitmap?
I did all the steps and the theme is fully working, but I'm not sure about explorerframe.dll files: If I'm on Windows 7 x64 I have to use both explorerframe.dll's? (x86 and x64)
What I did was replace the one in "X:Windows\system32" with the 64 bit explorerframe.dll and replace the one in ""X:Windows\SysWOW64" with the 32 bit explorerframe.dll. Is that right? I know it seems inverted but I've read somewhere that SysWOW64 is where windows x64 stores DLL used on 32 bits applications.
For what I learned so far 64 bit explorer.exe doesn't need external bmp files (like the 32 bit one). It already contains bmps inside the exe file.
I thought that because there's no bmp folder in resource folder named "explorer.exe 64 bit top" and now I know this for sure because I installed only the .exe file without any bmp folder and it showing the start animation normally.
This happens to explorerframe.dll too. The 32 bits one have a "bmp" folder with it but the 64 bits doesn't.
So, I think I've already answered my question: there's no way to make the 64 bits explorer.exe use the bottom start button animations.
thanks for this wonderful theme, Im having problems changing the name of the explorerframe.dll, I tried to change permissions like I do for other themes, but this doesn't work on explorerframe.dll, any ideas?
