Alyzia Diphridias is the Warrior Princess of the Sacred Guards, Daughter of General Keith Diphridias, and Master Assassin. She's also one of the 5 Main Characters of DarChronicles and second deadliest member of Shadow Striker. Just like with Cory Fang's profile, there's lots of information being intentionally excluded. This is only a brief overview of the character and won't reveal anything where the first novel begins. Her ages and attributes is based off when Shadow Striker is formed as a squad.

Background: The Diphridias Family is in charge of the Sacred Guards and they're also the wealthiest family in Bectar. General Keith Diphridias had three children: Athena who became Queen of the Sacred Guards, Arthur who took over the railroad business, and Elizabeth who became a Master Assassin in the Sacred Guards.
When Elizabeth (nicknamed Lyzi for short) was six, she began training to become a warrior. Her Father trained her intensely from the ages of 4 to 16 where her assassin training began under the tutelage of Captain Aaron. Sure, she had some rebellious teenage years, but she was definitely bred for the Sacred Guard life.
As a fully realized Sacred Guard Assassin, Elizabeth legally changed her name to "Alyzia" to detach herself from the name her father gave her. She undertook multiple contracts over the years. Even slayed a dragon, which is why she got herself a tattoo of a dragon skeleton on her left forearm. She had great success as an assassin, eliminating serious threats to the citizens of Bectar and preventing calamity on multiple occassions, and even became an Officer in the Division. She married Dr. Dominic Grovel, Medical Captain of the Sacred Guards. Then one day she received a contract to protect a scholar on the Necromancer Order where DarChronicles begins...
Personality: Alyzia often comes across as a stolid logically minded individual. She typically hides her emotions as she believes (was raised to believe more likely) that emotions are a weakness. While she does have emotions, it's very rare she shows them at all, unless she's around loved ones (family). She's so lacking in emotions on the outside that the other assassins in her Division often play games attempting to get her to smile or laugh or any display of emotion, rarely succeeding. Her stolid personality leaves her with an overly analytical mind and that's where Alyzia truly shines.
She is an introvert and can sometimes come across as socially awkward in her encyclopedic mind. She has an IQ over 200 and she has a tendency to ramble when she does speak. She's vegetarian except for seafood and is a morally grey character. She is manipulative and has a sarcastic sense of humor; though, as an assassin, her manipulative tendencies often work to her advantage.
While she rarely ever shows emotion, even suppressing her fear and anger after getting one of her hands cut off, she does display a sense of pride and quality for things. She's rich and doesn't like to settle for anything less than top quality. As a consequence of constantly suppressing her own emotions, when she does display emotions, they're often extremely powerful.
COMBAT
CQC: Of all 5 members of Shadow Striker, Alyzia is the best martial artists. Don't try and debate who's the best with only their hands, I'm telling you as the author it's Alyzia. Here are her skillsets in CQC.
Wing Chun is her primary fighting style and go-to style for close encounters. She's mastered the martial art and been practicing it since she was six years old and it comes second nature to her. After decades of intense training, dedication, and experience, Alyzia's hands can move faster than the average human eye can track. Her strikes with her hands are blindingly quick, precise, and powerful. She can punch hard enough to break a concrete block and often knocks out men, despite her small stature, with only one flurry of Wing Chun strikes.
She also mastered Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, and Savat and those styles have given her powerful legs she can use to attack with. Everything from knee strikes to sweeps to kicks. While she prefers using her hands, Alyzia will kick an opponent when the opportunity arises and her kicks are powerful enough to dent steel armor and still break an enemy's rib.
She also mastered Hapkido and Jujitsu and primarily relies on those specific styles for defense. She incorporates them into disarming foes and forcing them into submission with various holds.
She also mastered The Assassin's Fist which incorporates knives seamlessly into martial arts, focusing on countering opponents with lethal results. Her knifestyle combined with the speed of Wing Chun makes her extremely deadly in hand-to-hand encounters.
Equipment: Oh...this is a big list. She carries a plethora of throwing knives coated in the venom of the Wandering Spider, also known as the Banana Spider, and is the deadliest spider venom in the world, capable of killing an adult male in twenty minutes with only a cut as small as a paper cut; multiple cuts and stabs from her blades will expedite the effects of the venom on her enemies. While she does carry some throwing knives on her belt, the vast majority are hidden in her vest and even inside her boots. She once managed to sneak a throwing knife past a strip search so she's always got a knife somewhere.
She also carries her main combat knife, which is almost as big as a short sword, and is her usual knife when fighting in close quarters. That knife is also coated in venom.
She wields a Steam Powered Grappling Gun capable of propelling her through the environment at 171mph. But she can also shoot it into enemies to pull them to her, throw objects with it, and can even cut down a tree by wrapping the cable for the gun around it and using the gun to rapidly tighten it.
She also carries Napalm Bombs, Smoke Bombs, Flash Bombs, Pheromones that attract hornets, Healing Potions, razor wire, and various other poisons.
Skills: Non-Magic Skills
- She's a tactician and is able to outwit and defeat opponents stronger, faster, and tougher than her through strategy.
- She's an expert at analyzing her opponent and predicting their movements and even their capabilities. She can dodge projectiles by calculating the trajectory of its path so fast she knows where it'll go before it even leaves their hand.
- She's a Master of Parkour and can move freely in any environment.
- She's an expert in stealth and even mastered a technique called "The Silent Step" where she can move without making a sound.
- She's Mastered the art of lock picking.
- She's a master of disguise and can even alter her own voice and personality when needed; hell, she's so good at disguises, she can even trick people into thinking she's a man. Oftentimes, her disguises requires time to prepare but she can make herself unrecognizable with it.
Magic: She has three magic abilities:
Shadow Bind allows her to charge magic energy into her throwing knives and paralyze opponents when the knife touches their shadow. The paralysis is so powerful that it can even paralyze their opponents and suspend them in midair, unable to break free. While it does paralyze their bodies, it DOES NOT bind their magic. The charged knife must strike their shadow for it to work.
Gravity Step allows her to walk on any surface: up walls, ceilings, even on air itself by generating platforms of magic energy directly beneath her feet.
Armor of Ice allows her to freeze herself in armor thick and strong enough to block bladed weapons. She can freeze the ice however she wants, whether she wants partial armor or armor from head to toe. She can make the ice as smooth as a sculpture or jagged and sharp as glass. She can even freeze her hands to form blades of ice capable of freezing opponents she stabs. She can even freeze her entire body in ice armor and eject herself from the armor, leaving behind a perfect sculpture of ice in her place.
Strategy: Alyzia's a Wizard with Knives and expert strategist and expert in stealth, oftentimes, her last resort is to just land a single cut as a single cut will usually prove fatal in most situations. However she goes about doing that depends on the situation.
Weakness:
1.) She has no defense against Fire and her ice armor will melt from flames.
2.) She's weak to lightning magic and electrical attacks. It's so devastating for her that it often brings her to her knees in pain and muscle spasms.
