sweet souvenirs of mireille

we found this record leaning up against a light post right here outside of the britannia community centre. it was titled "sweet souvenirs of mireille mathieu" and it was placed all alone still bearing an old price tag, probably from whichever garage sale or flea market where it was discovered. $2. i pulled out a pen and amanda found a piece of paper. she wrote the following note.

i purchased your record, 'sweet souvenirs of mireille mathieu.'
you weren't there.
i have left the two dollars for the record.
i hope you get it.
thank you.

she replaced the record with the note, weighing down the paper with a twoonie, and we continued on up commerical drive towards 1st avenue.
