Robin MALE (Paper Mario Color Splash Recut x FE) by DerekminyA Robin MALE (Paper Mario Color Splash Recut x FE) by DerekminyA
High resolution sprites for a Paper Mario version of the male Robin, a Fire Emblem character. In particular, Robin was one of the main heroes of Fire Emblem Awakening, as well as a custom character of sorts. Robin also appears in Fire Emblem Heroes, Fire Emblem Warriors, and a non-Sword user in Super Smash Bros for.

No, that logo is not deceiving you- Robin appears in the Fantendo version of Color Splash's fantopic Recut. His addition to the Recut and optional role is mostly to better contextualize the presence of another optional Fire Emblem character who actually was in CS Recut's first version. You readers might know who I'm talking about.

So will Megaman be in Paper Mario Color Splash recut, representing how much Nintendo gives more love to Megaman than Capcom does these days?

No- just Robin, as an unexpected treat. While I don't believe in some limits, there are others that should be heeded.

Alright, but you have seen people who want Nintendo to buy out Megaman, because of how much better they treat him then Capcom?

I've seen several fans who feel that way.

Honestly, Capcom has been healing with Mega Man over time. Mostly because their cashgrab attitude throughout the second half of the seventh generation and first half of the eighth (not just for Mega Man) came back to bite them years later and now they have to be more careful, but still...

Just glad Capcom's starting to learn the lesson about taking better care of their main IP. You know I was wondering, what If Nintendo did buy Megaman, but the people making their games are the ones behind Paper Mario: Sticker Star and Color Splash, them how would the fans react?

It really, really depends. The big flaw with the current Paper Mario team is they have a nasty habit of including ideas because they're new, not because they work, and throwing them in without fully refining them. Meanwhile, Mega Man levels require very precise design and control input. I don't see a game with the neo team turning out well.

So would you call the current Paper Mario team, Nintendo EPD wannabes, rather than actual Nintendo employees?

A very apt description. Tanabe wants so much to be like Miyamoto, even if Miyamoto's ideas clash with his own "drilled" philosophy. It's one of the few reasons he would go to Miyamoto immediately after getting the Color Splash gig, even though him getting the gig infers Miyamoto was OK with it. Like, third party companies who work on Mario may respect Miyamoto, but even they don't over-rely on him to that extent.
