Kolorado (Paper Mario 64) by DerekminyA Kolorado (Paper Mario 64) by DerekminyA
High definition sprites for Kolorado, a Koopa Troopa archaologist from Paper Mario 64.

Midway through his search for the second Star Spirit, Mario meets up with Kolorado on Dry Dry Desert's main road. Spirited for an old turtle, Kolorado desires relics from the fabled Dry Dry Ruins. If Mario wishes, he can give something like a vase located in the ruins to brighten Kolorado's day. Later, Kolorado accompanies Mario to Lavalava Island for more artifacts. Several setbacks and a frustrating "so close" moment later, Mario eventually comes through for Kolorado again.

Kolorado is also mentioned in Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door. Let's just say he and his dad used to live in Petalburg. Other than that, Kolorado never appeared again in the Paper Mario series, especially after the big change.

In the DMZ timeline, Kolorado is thankfully more present. While he has no appearances in Relic Hunter or Wonder Journey, he appears as a rescuee in the recut of the Mario and Luigi crossover, as well as showing up looking for Artifacts in the Wii U recut. Meanwhile, though still not physically present in the 3DS recut, Mario learns from an old letter that Kolorado has some history with the Buried Guild's leader, Bruce the Chargin' Chuck.
