Cheep Cheep (Mario Story Fruit Shake) by DerekminyA Cheep Cheep (Mario Story Fruit Shake) by DerekminyA
A very common fish, Cheep Cheeps have quite a population in the Frutta Archipelago. From time to time, they belly flop onto the beaches. While previously it was just for fun, Genes Nuvola's actions have riled them into a fury.

Cheep Cheeps have appeared in the Super Mario Bros. franchise almost from the beginning. Though they're not as iconic as Goombas or the man in red himself, most sea enemies in video games owe a little to Cheep Cheeps- like how most people and animals owe it to the ocean, as that's where many living creatures are said to be rooted from.

...getting back on track, regarding Paper Mario, Cheep Cheeps have appeared in almost every game except the Mario and Luigi crossover. Regarding the DMZ timeline, meanwhile, though they weren't removed from the recuts, they have no additional appearances in Wonder Journey or Relic Hunter. This model sheet is in context to their appearance in an upcoming fangame topic as enemies.

In fact, Cheep Cheeps are the very last enemies (which I've revealed a little over half of regarding unique ones) or characters I'm revealing before the full topic is released. (How appropriate to end it with an enemy from the first Mario platformer). For those who have been following this, though I'll still post unrelated Paper Mario artwork, Mario Story Fruit Shake will take a while longer than usual to make and release for various reasons (previous promises to fulfill, life obligations, loose ends, etc.). When the topic is completely done (unlike Wonder Journey, which was admittedly rushed near the end), it'll be released in one go- there's no set release date for the fangame topic.

For those who have been following this, I thank you for doing so, and cherish your time. I also promise when the topic is finished, we'll have some laughs, some adventure... you might even feel something in there. If there's any questions, feel free to ask. Until then... watch the stars.
