Ari Sworda (Mario Story Fruit Shake) by DerekminyA Ari Sworda (Mario Story Fruit Shake) by DerekminyA
The leader of the 40+ Bandits, Ari Sworda is a peculiar individual, no? He apparently works with Genes Nuvola as an independent contractor, or a sword-for-hire- in exchange for gathering Fruit energy from the Great Banana Tree of Ardente Rock, Ari Sworda gets not only his promised bounty, but any other treasure in the Doogan Mines. This puts him in constant conflict with recent arrivee Boss Brolder. Not that Ari Sworda finds him, or anyone for that matter, a serious threat, due to his sword skills and swordmancy, as well as his bulk. He's generally very lenient with his Bandits. However, if they mess up a serious gig, Ari Sworda uses his fangs to ensure his minions stay focused next time. That said, he only uses his fangs as a very last resort.

Ari Sworda actually comes from a faraway desert land that surprisingly isn't Sarasaland, yet close to it. As a result, he has not only Bandit ancestry, but also the legacy of Pionpis.

Ari Sworda appears as a chapter boss in an upcoming Paper Mario fangame topic. That said, he was actually conceptualized years earlier for a now shelved unreleased fangame topic called Paper Mario World Tour.

Paper Mario World Tour, hmm? Kinda sad too see a project that went unreleased...

Ardi looks real good, and I am surprised that a Pionpi is actually leading the Bandits in here.

A few others also got shelved for lacking a certain something. Sometimes, things just might not pan out.

If it helps ease the loss, some concepts and characters from World Tour (Madame Flurrie coming back, Motley Bossblob as a boss) as well as other unreleased topics (a Reznor King, Derstone & Rosey, a fleshed out version of the crowned Monty Mole, Woody Tim the Whittle, the Wiggler from the 3DS game's new identity, a mission structure) were eventually revisited or revived for later released fangame topics. Meanwhile, others could also be re-analyzed and integrated as needed in the future. A few in particular are actually reserved for Switch Recut "just in case" the developers still don't reconsider and change their ways for the actual game.

Thanks. I thought it would be unexpected to have a mixed species threat.

Wow, that's a lot of words in a comment, but I am glad that you explain it all well.

Knowing the current developers, unless if Nintendo or Miyamoto himself had realized that something is not right (or at least in term of gameplay) and that they must fix them afterward, I doubt that the current Paper Mario developers would change their ways. If the Paper Mario Switch turns out even worse than even Sticker Star, at least in sale compared to Color Splash (albeit unlikely), it will surely damage the reputation of the current Paper Mario developer leader, but it is too early to tell.
