The continuous downpour had turned the city streets into the shallowest streaming rivers as the street drains had met their capacities hours ago. Each of the Aldric’s stark steps splashed water around, and even though his boots had hold the water out for a respectably long while, they were starting to give in and the wetness was slowly seeping through the leather. As the downpour drummed heavily on the Aggron’s wide shoulders, he found himself wondering if storms had always felt so draining. Had he – or, well, Clyde - felt so exhausted after the same amount of hours in a storm back when he was still wearing BDUs? When the said BDUs had been thoroughly soaked, had they felt every inch as cold and heavy as the Aggron’s coat currently felt? Even though it wasn’t logically possible, it felt like the coat still soaked up more water, turning heavier and heavier by each step its wearer took. Had it felt the same with the BDUs, too?
