EYE OF THE STORM

Diamond skies Passages in the blue Shadows in the night Morning's dew First light Crystal tears of fire and ice Mystic skies Paradise calling Of labyrinths and islands in the sky A song book on fire A sin and a prayer Of two lovers A stranger and a friend As cinders storm down from the heavens above As a raven bird takes flight A psalm and a song A feather and a quill Adrift on the wings of change Nestled in the skies above On the crest of the crescent moon Of lullaby and lunar landings Of shooting stars and fallen stardust Of infancy and the infinite From the cradle of life To graveyards in the night A preacher and a prayer The fallen and the risen Spirits rise, ghosts fall The bittersweet, the empty and the wanting Until death's end and mourning's light The rise and fall, the still of silence

Description

The Grammaticon project aims to explore and dissect the 24 letters of the ancient Greek alphabet through psychology, mythology, metaphysics and spiritual experience. Like the Rune Series, it features 24 unique designs created by me.

Nu is the thirteenth letter of the Greek Alphabet and points back to its meaning of 'snake'. Here I explore the story of the Hydra and its meaning.

This work is suitable to those interested in symbolism, language and esoteric/jungian explorations of Reality.
