“Sir, would you like to play a game?”
As the young man approached her, Dice smiled. Drawing in one person was the hard part, and now she lets the crowd form naturally as curiosity and interest is built up gradually in those walking by. First it was a young woman, then it was an elderly couple, and soon enough, kids and their parents began to show up. The small but sizeable crowd pleased her.
The cards on the table before her were face up; two aces (of hearts and clubs) and the queen of spades. She could see the curiosity on the faces in the crowd.
“It’s a simple game,” her voice was full of enthusiasm. “All you have to do is keep your eye on the queen.” She pointed at the man she had called over. “You game?”
