Couldn't resist to the temptation to draw it! This new taxon is soooo autapomorphic and it seriously seems a joke the fact that it is well and abundantly preserved and it looks like a mix of several clades of Dinosauria also. Yet it's not a chimera.
This life restoration is accurately based on the holotypic specimen (SNGM-1935), which is not fully grown. Adult individuals could overcome 3 meters of total length.
Although Chilesaurus has shown to be a basal Tetanurae, several traits appear to be disquietingly similar to guaibasaurids in teeth and arms. Furthermore, the pelvis has the typical ornithischian shape, despite being Chilesaurus undoubtedly a saurischian.

Ti faccio i complimenti per la fantasia che metti nel realizzare la livrea di ogni dinosauro. Tuttavia, e non prenderla come una critica negativa, secondo me dovresti metterci un po' più di fantasia e varietà per quel che riguarda la "forma". Sai, penso ne gioverebbe l'intera opera in generale.

Per carità, liberissimo di fare come più credi, dato che in giro si vede roba merdosissima, ma ripeto, la bellezza di quelle livree meriterebbe qualcosa di più.
Piuttosto, sarei curioso di sapere che tecnica di colore usi.

Ah okay, diciamo che uso alcuni temi ricorrenti come "marchio di fabbrica".
Dopo aver ripassato la silhouette con un pennarello nero uso due tecniche diverse per la colorazione (come ho illustrato in alcuni tutorial che puoi vedere nella mia galleria) la prima è la stesura del pennarello per le campiture (in questo caso, il carmisio per la gorgiera e due diverse tonalità di terra di siena bruciata per tutto il resto) poi dopo una mezz'ora passo all'uso dei pastelli (in questo caso nero, marrone e grigio) per le sfumature, i filamenti e per i dettagli della pelle. Molti usano il carboncino ma io non mi ci trovo bene in questo tipo di lavoro, perché richiede cura per i particolari e il carboncino è troppo grossolano. L'unica parte che coloro digitalmente sono gli occhi. Il segreto per una buona riuscita è far sì che il pastello riesca a sfumare i diversi colori del pennarello l'uno con l'altro usando una tonalità di transizione, e ciò non funziona se si passa il pastello subito dopo il pennarello, dato che quest'ultimo è ancora fresco.
Il tuo disegno è molto bello, accurato e realistico, mi piacerebbe vederlo colorato

Infine, riguardo al carboncino (e magari anche alla sanguigna) dedicatici quando puoi, che in realtà è uno strumento incredibile se usato correttamente.

Of course, I love it (that's also the shortest name for a dinosaur ever)! But not now, I think in future I will do a sheet about Scansoriopterygidae updated comparison.

Definitely second weirdest dinosaur of the year! My first thoughts were, "looks like prosauropod trying really hard to be a theropod"! 
I noticed it doesn't look like you gave it beak, unlike the press release picture. I don't see a beak on the fossil either, do you know if evidence for one is mentioned in the paper?

Who is the first one? :") Anyway there is no taphonomic evidence of rhamphoteca, but analogously to Jianchangosaurus (just to do an example), it can be optionally hypothesized on the basis of shape jaws and high level of autapomorphies. It depends by the artist. On my part, despite being a decidedly anomalous taxon, I sparingly use to restore unknown parts inherently as those of the closest taxa (in this case, basal tetanurans)
I honestly can not see it as an aberrant taxon, since the hypothesis of the presence of patagium in Scansoriopterygidae has been perpetuating for a long. :') But it seems now everyone is speaking about Yi. Personally I was been more amazed by Chilesaurus.
I guess they're both equally strange. Yi's membrane-based wing is unique, but Chilesaurus's taxonomic implications are more interesting.

It's nice to see some new species (especially from Chile), but the hype certainly gets on my nerves.
I mean - they lay so much emphasis on "vegan", when there are Therizinosaurs and Ornithomimids already, as well as hundreds of other herbivores...

I agree... an italian article called it "the duckbill dino" and I wanted to scream, seriously.
Stegosaurus, Segnosaurus, Saurornithoides, Saltasaurus, Saurolophus, etc.
