WE INTERRUPT THIS JOURNAL FOR AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: ENTER THE VAMPIRE & WEREWOLF CONTEST! VISIT TWILIGHT-APPLE FOR DETAILS. THANK YOU. WE RETURN YOU NOW TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING.

Okay, Ginie aka Azrael1984 asked her watchers to post images of celebs they think are most like her. This is my ideal image of you, Sister! I think you will approve.

Marlene Dietrich by tainted-orchid

Now here's how I view Leonie too. She picked Katharine Hepburn for me. (I wish.) And Azrael chose Meryl Streep. (Much closer.)

:thumb29116597:

This one is for you Penfury! An easy pick: strong, determined, striking, tall, dark and dazzling. But would you believe I could find no photos or drawings of a mature Cher on dA? Had to settle for this doll, which at least had the attitude right.

CHER DOLL in your face... by mystique2662

For Taintedbliss (or Shirin for anyone who read my Christmas Carol), I wanted to find a photo of the character of Susie from the 1960s movie The World of Susie Wong. I failed, but on the way found an anime I liked almost as well. Here she is:

Shojo Susie by fruitpatchmangac

And for Beau, an obvious choice:

Brian Epstein Oekaki by vandonovan

Azreal sees me as Meryl in Mama Mia. Facially, I can buy that. Sure wish I had her body though. I would be the BEFORE shot, folks. Leonie's pick for me is the magnificent Kate. :sigh: I wish!

Addendum: Penfury tags me as Glenn Close. I found this photo of the dangerous woman. I adored this movie, so I figured I could handle being seen as a French harlot for a few days anyway.

Now I'd love it if the rest of you would play too. Here are the rules as posted on Azrael's page:

"I think its inevitable that as we read each other's journals we create a mental pictures of each other. Even if we see each other occasionally, you tend to have a mental image of me that may or may not jibe with how i really look. If we've never met face to face, then the image in your head might be rather interesting indeed. Take a moment to figure out what celebrity I remind you of and hunt for an image online, then post it in my journal. Post this on your own journal to find out who your friends see when they read about your life."

Two Rules:

1) The person must be in the movies or on TV (but doesn't have to be an actor/actress). The person can be specific to a role (e.g. Jennifer Elhe's Elizabeth Bennet) or just the person. Paintings/cartoons/whatever will work just fine. Any image you can come up with basically.

2) Post a picture or a link.

And obviously, everyone here is tagged."

Can't wait to see what you clever peeps come up with. I will happily return the favor.

Wow, I am flattered again. Thanks, Shirin. Dame Christie is my idol! Of course, I would prefer not to be seen as LOOKING one damn bit like the grande dame. (Sorry, Aggie.)

Greatly appreciated too! For you, I thought immediately of the character Susie Wong in the movie, The World of Susie Wong. I couldn't find a photo of her; the movie must be getting too old. It dates from the 1960s. But I did find an anime image of a Susie that was cute and appropriate. See the update of this journal to see her.

meryl streep was my first thought for you too!! though at that moment i only had the person in mind but didn't remember the name, so i can only say it now that i read in this journal and see that some others had that image of you, too! XD kinda cool then, that there is that same impression of you for several of us!

It's funny that I see her in myself too. Though I never realized that until Azreal mentioned her. I wonder what "Streep" vibe I am giving off?

Cher? I am greatly flattered, though I'm hardly 'dazzling' in person. Determined and dark both fit well, and strong. I'm only 5'5 though, no wonder i look up to you. :D

The choice she made early in her life and didn't even realize it. I found myself wondering afterwards if she started out innnocent in the beginning like all of his other women, or if she was always determined to be the one in power and as a result lost everything. There were so many ways to interpret their actions and choices. I really have to pull out my copy of this movie and watch it again.

What a question. I know a person by their voice, whether it be through written word or the cadence of their vocal presence. However, I thought long and hard and decided upon Glenn Close ( I hate to copy others) not so much for her appearance, but for the strength of character she portrays in Sarah, Plain and Tall. ;) It was her or Dina Karson.

When I'm talking to online peeps, and beleive me, there's a lot of them, I don't see a picture. I more get a uhhh...sort of feeling of them, built from all the previous conversations and adventures, etc. To get a face, I need a picture. xD I'm a simple person. Doop dee doop.

Okay, you're off the hook then. But to tell the truth this sketch for Azrael is not how I imagine her. It is, like you said, how I "feel" about her -- a Marlene Dietrich in drag -- and in a sailor suit no less. I don't expect you to get it, but she will.

!!! :XD: *is now blushing horribly* eep! Awwww thank you!!! XD That is so sweet. Me approves mucho obviously. XD Marlene Dietrich in sailor suit? Oh yes. XD

Now actually my mental image of you happens to be my 6th grade English teacher. O.o Her name was Ms. Barrie and she had lots of curly blondish-brown hair (what do you call that hair colour? I have no idea) and she wore glasses and had quite a pointed nose I think but was pretty cute all in all. XD Only I don't have a photo so I'll need to sit and ponder some more for someone famous or a famous image or something. XD This is actually a lot easier with you seeing as I've never seen a photo of you. I'm having a very hard time imagining mental images for some other people I know because I do actually know what they look like and that interferes a lot. XD

I had the same problem with you. I've seen your pictures. In the end, the part I found easiest to do was think "How do I feel about this person? What celebrity encompasses the overall impression I have of them?" Marlene was a perfect fit, and when I saw the sketch of her in the sailor suit I knew I'd hit pay dirt.

Which is to say (my interpretation of the character anyway, seeing as I've not seen the movie): awesome, fun-loving, independent, in-charge. A strong person who knows how to have fun. ^^

Now it's my turn to blush! You are surprisingly close. Facially, I would say I do look a bit like Miss Streep, and I have the same color hair, but she's kept her girlish figure. Mine is closer to seed than bloom. But wow, I am indeed a Mama Mia. Funny, I'm also the Devil in Prada on occasion -- another Streep film. So all in all, I am beaming at your choice. Thank you!

O.o Wow that is so awesome! :XD: The bit where you look sort of like Meryl Streep I mean. Am I psychic or what?? =P Honestly though, previously I always saw you as my 6th grade English teacher but then I sat down and tried to think of someone else that made me think of you and the Mamma Mia advert sprung to mind. :XD: I had actually considered putting The Devils Wears Prada down, but I thought she was a lot more Lydia there than you, though of course I don't doubt that you have some Lydia in you too. ;)
