RP 1 - Side-story 1

It has been a few days now since he was teleported into Equestria, so he got quite some worried mails of people who thought he ran away. He quickly made a tumblr account and said he was fine.

Mint quietly flutters over the bushes, landing reasonably close behind him before piping up "i-i've never seen magic l-l-ike that, what's that c-alled?"

Sample Code jumped up in surprise and closed the screen as he lost focus. When he turned around he saw it was Mint. "Oh hey Mint, you made me scared for a bit there. the magic, uhmmm, it's something from where I come from, it's rather hard to explain." *Sample Code starts smiling awkwardly*

she blinks and tilts her head "why? i've seen magic before...it's l-like....everywhere....what was that you were doing just now, i-is it like a book? b-because it's in a l-language i've never seen before..."

"Promise me you won't freak out if I give you the full truth?"

she tilts her head the other way, looking slightly concerned "uhh....wh-what do you mean Code?" she says "what are y-you doing out here?"

"I was just taking a walk actually, and I mean that my explanation is hard to believe, I even have troubles believing it myself, while it is undeniably true."

she sits down in front of him and ruffles her wings "w-well i can walk with you if you w-w-ant, if i can h-help i really w-wouldnt mind trying"

Sample Code sighed and said "Okay, here we go..." he pauses for a second to gather is thoughts and starts explaining: "You see, I wasn't born a unicorn, not even a pony. And I wasn't born on this planet..." He then pauzes to see how Mint reacts so far.

Mint doesnt look upset, or even scared as much as extremely confused "....wait...you mean, you w-werent born in....Equestria? o-or Vaporia, or anyw-w-here else? th-then how are you here?"

Sample Code almost shouts as he says: "I don't know, One moment I was making a computergame in my world and then when I start the game for the first time, my screen flashed extremely bright and next moment I was falling above the Everfree Forest and felt a strange tingle in my body. I was knocked out and when I woke up I was in this body, but without cutie mark. I got it the next day by thinking about my friends on Earth and how we used to communicate over the internet. I somehow made connection to it, through my brain, which is impossible, because that means that I connect to technology on another world, still here I was using the internet just now. By the way, you were the third pony I talked to In Equestria, well, the first one, Spectra, actually was a spirit, but still..." Sample Code had to stop since he couldn't follow his own thoughts anymore.

she blinks again and raises a brow "....you s-sound like y-youve gone crazy or s-omething....are you sure you dont j-just have amnesia, or have y-you been talk-ing to L-lyra too much..."

Lets say Crazy, because everyone is crazy, just some peopl, I mean ponies are crazier as others. Also no, I haven't spoken to Lyra, I avoided her because I know how much she's obsessed with humans. I also know they're a myth here, but I was born a human and in my world... You are the myths, We do have ponies, but they're like animals and the pegasi and unicorns are purely myths there, let alone alicorns!

Mint furrows her brow, staring at the ground as she scrapes a hoof over the dirt. having a pretty difficult time coming to terms with what Sample Code was telling her, looking back up to him "but we are real, i m-mean, i can r-r-each out and touch y-ou right now...how can w-we be the myth, i've never even s-seen a human before, they're the o-o-ones that dont exist!"

"You've seen me smile, right? Now look at this picture of me using the same smile when I was a human." He opened up a screen next to them, so they could both propperly see it, and immediatly went to a picture of a human, using the exact same smile. He then made an effort and showed it in full color. It was obvious though that he wouldn't be able to keep it showing like that for long.

the mare eeps loudly and scoots back "i-i, i dont kn-n-now what to say...i-...how....are we just fake? can our wh-whole world just stop in an instant?" her breathing quickening as she can feel her anxiety growing

Sample Code closed the screen and while breathing heavily, he said: "I don't know, maybe it's my world that's fake. But maybe we're both real.. I'd like to think that's the truth though, I don't wan't this world to dissapear, neither my home world." Sample Code had no idea to calm himself down, let alone Mint.

Neutral Karma walks along a path, with his bag by his side. His eyes are focused on the view in front of him, as if he is expecting to see something. The tips of the tallest trees appeared, with each step making them appear more and more. "That must be this forest that everypony has been avoiding to talk about.", He thought. The entrance revealed itself, with the inside being as black as night. As Neutral Karma got to it's perimeter, he stopped. "Not many ponies like this place. It's appearance makes it understandable. It does look as if great 'evil' takes place here. All I got to expect, and all I could find out of this place, is that this place isn't normal.". With a deep breath, he makes his first steps into this forest, making sure he stays on the path.

Mint puts a hoof to her chest, breathing rapidly as she shakes her head "we, we need to talk to somepony, s-s-omepony who knows about this kind of thing, let's go see C-Celestia, maybe she can sort this out!" turning and taking off down the path, not entirely sure why she was running. And she didnt really bother to look and see if Sample Code was following, looking back before colliding with something that happened to be on the path at the same time

The force of the push in front of him caused Neutral Karma to fall back onto his flank, dropping his bag as well as the contents inside it. Some of which are: Flint, a block of steel, a rope, a Daring Do Novel and a necklace with a grey gem. "Only a few seconds in and already things are charging into me..." he thought.

as Mint collided with Karma she was knocked back into a tree and was currently knocked out~

Sample Code stood there dumbfounded for a second, but then he shook his head and ran behind her. Just behind a bend in the road he found out that Mint ran into Neutral Karma. He stopped just in time. Then he said: "Uhm, hi there Karma. I told my human past to Mint aand we both kinda freaked out. Mint suddenly ran away saying we should ask Celestia about this..."

"Mint? You alright?" Mint didn't react so Sample Code looked at Karma. "I think she's unconscious... What do we do now?" he said with a worried look on his face.

Neutral Karma looked up to see Sample Code was next to an unconscious Mint. "I thought I herd a voice I recognised.", He said to Sample Code. He stood back up, still feeling some pain from the tackle into the chest. "Mint is currently unconscious from what I can tell from here. What we should do is carry Mint out of this forest and return to your house. Since I will most likely be the stronger between the two of us, I shall carry Mint. I will need you to carry my bag though." As Karma turned his head to grab his bag, he notices that it wasn't there. A glimmer from the ground caused him to look down where his back legs are, where he noticed his bag, and it's contents, laying all over the ground.

is totally still unconscious, mumbling under her breath

"Let me help you. I think I got the levitation-spell under control now." Sample Code levitated the block of steel towards the bag, but lost focus and dropped it just in front of the bag. "Hmm, still having problems, but at least it's going better now. I think it'll be quicker if I just use my hooves..." he said and Sample Code started gathering the contents with his hooves. After a bit everything was back in the bag and Sample Code strapped the bag to his back. "Ready?"

Neutral Karma approached the side of the unconscious Mint. He pulled Mint's body upright so he is able to get his head under her front legs, to carry her on his back. After lifting her body, he shows a little worry. "This is going to be rather awkward, but I don't really have much choice...", he thought.

Mint reacts little to being moved around, if at all. continuing to mumble lowly as she lay limp over his bakc

Sample Code waited patiently till Karma was ready to get going.

Neutral Karma struggled before he finally got Mint completely on his back. "I cannot say I didn't offer though", he thought. After carefully turning around, now he has something pushing him down to the ground, Neutral Karma responds, "I am ready to go".

"Okay. Lets go then." Sample Code said and they started walking towards Sample Code's house. "So, why did you come to the Everfree Forest? I know not many ponies like the atmosphere in here."

"So that is what this place is called.", he replied, "I didn't know what to expect when I entered. I wanted to know more about this place, as everypony has been quiet about it. Now to return the question, why would you two enter a place like this?"

"I was just taking a walk and I don't mind the atmosphere as long as it is still day. Since I thought I was alone, I went to my mail on this internet I've told you about. Well, my friends and family thought I ran away, so I left a message saying that I'm fine, but don't know any way back home. When that was done... Mint was suddenly behind me and asked me what kind of magic it was, so I tried to explain my human past... She freaked out, what made me freak out and the rest you know already."

"I am sure you are thinking about it, but you need to be careful with what you say about your little story and who you tell it to. Even I didn't take it rather easy myself.", Neutral Karma replies, "Usually, however, when something happens, it is for a reason. What you got to find out now is why.", Neutral Karma shuffles Mint back on his back as she was starting to slip.

"You know, it's hard to lie for me, so I usually don't tell everything. But when someone asks for the truth, my mental gates open and then I often tell more as they wanted to know." Sample Code sighed. "And yes, I should indeed find out why I am here." They soon left the Everfree Forest and entered Ponyville.

Neutral karma is getting rather tiered from carrying Mint. "I hope your house is close by. Carrying somepony else is starting to get tiering.", He says to Sample Code. "Also she still hasn't moved since we were in the everfree forest."

"It's just around that corner there. We'll be there in about 2 minutes at this pace"

as she remains draped over the stallion's back like a sack of potatoes Mint's eyes flutter and crack open "ohh j-jeez, wha...happened, wh-y does my h-head hurt?......." looking around at them "and why am i r-r-iding somepony?"

Neutral Karma turns his head to the side to see Mint finally awake. "You have finally woke up Mint.", He says, giving a smile right afterwards. He was finally loosing his footing and kneeled down, taking breaths. "You ran into me after freaking out, which resulted in you going unconscious. Since we needed to help you, I carried you out of the forest while me and Sample Code were taking you to his house", Neutral Karma explain to Mint, "Are you feeling alright"

Sample Code gave a concerned smile.

Mint nods a little, holding her head in her hooves "yeah, j-just a pounding h-h-headache...." drooping over Karma's back "are we almost there, i think i n-need to lie d-d-down"

"We are only a few minutes away", Neutral Karma replies. He slowly stood back up on his hooves, still taking breaths. He looks to Sample Code. "Let us get there quickly though, I am not sure how much longer I can carry Mint for."

"I could try to lighten the weight with my magic, but it won't be much, as I keep having troubles with spells. I'll only try it if it's okay for both of you. Karma, I must tell you, I can't control when it stops, so I wont be able to warn you when it's about to stop." said Sample Code with a very concerned face.

Mint was just kinda hangin' out draped over Karma's back, she looks at the two as they trot down the path "uhh...i-i can walk myself if it's fine w-with you..." waving her front and back hooves idly

"It won't be trouble for me to carry you for a few moments. We are almost there", Neutral Karma replies.

Mint shrugs and continues just kinda sitting there~content right now with just holding her head in her hooves and trying to get the headache to go away'

A small smile forms on Sample Code's face as they walk along. After a bit they reach the front door of his house. "You go ahead, Karma. I think you still know the way to the living room with the couches, right?"

Neutral Karma walks through the door, into Sample Code's house. "I do.", he says to Sample Code. He walks across the room, with Mint still on his back, into the second living room. He went close to one of the sofas in the room. He carefully kneeled down. "We are here Mint.", He says.

the mare smiles and nods "th-thank you Karma, you didnt have to c-c-carry me all the way here y-you know~" she give him a light peck on the cheek as she pulls herself off of his back and onto the couch

"You are welcome Mint. I felt it was only right I help you, as I felt responsible for you passing out and getting a headache.", Neutral Karma responded, "I will be a minute, I got to get my bag from Sample Code."

Sample Code walks in with some refreshments and puts them down on the table. "Say Karma, could you lend me a hand, uhh, hoof to get these bags off?"

"That is easy enough", Neutral Karma responded. He walked up to the side of Sample Code to put his hoof under the bag's strap. Lifting it over his head, Neutral Karma took the bag back from Sample Code. He went back to the sofa which Mint was laying on and placed his bag on the close by table. "Thank you for that Sample Code."

Mint nods as she is still laying on the couch "so, s-sample c-c-ode. you s-say you're not from h-here? wh-at does that mean? are y-you gonna be here forever? or are you going t-t-to go back s-someday?"

"I don't know if I'm staying forever. But I know one thing for sure, I'll never forget you two and the other friends I made here so far. I have a way of contacting home, so I won't have any trouble of being homesick. If there's a chance of getting home, I'm not sure what I'll do. I do know I miss my hands though..." said Sample Code and looked at one of his hooves. After a bit of silence he adds: "Though the magic really helps compensating that, if I'd only get it under control."
