Rest in the ocean's deep

Beneath the stems where shadows lie,

Pale light, stillness, depth profound.

Only the ships in silence glide by,

No wave, no echo, no sound.

The stems unmoved from the depths below,

In quiet they reach, in silence grow.

How calm is their quiet green glow,

How peacefully their blossoms flow.

The bottom speaks no words, no cries,

The sea grass whispers never.

Once we loved beneath the skies,

Now we've forgotten forever.

Jewels and sand in muted sweep,

Ghostly fish in silence creep.

The world of pain and passion's far,

I'm glad I rest in the ocean's deep.
