Backstory:

Since the very beginning SCAB has always been shown to have mass loyalty n' obedience over the empire n' has proven to be quite promising in his classes during his time on Devastis. Tho he was known to have little to no social skills as he wants to prove he alone was a worthy soldier to the empire, n' would do anything that it takes to become an elite or anything better. So when he heard about a program that soldiers could take to achieve a high n' rare rank, he quickly signed up, n' he was soon accompanied by many other irkens to a deserted planet, that was filled w/ vicious wildlife n' harsh conditions, where they would have to use their training to survive for 1 whole week, once then they will achieve their promised high rank. For the first 2 days he was doing pretty well, however on the third day he was suddenly attacked by a deadly creature, n' while he successfully killed it, he ended w/ a single scar on his right eye n' the loss of his right antenna. As he was laying on the ground from exhaustion, he could barely listen to the pitter patter of footsteps coming towards him, yet was relived to find out it was another irken, named KAI. She soon helps him by aiding his broken antenna, to which she later offers the suggestion of tagging along side him as she fears that he would be in more danger now that he has a damaged antenna (as irken antennas are used to pick up vibrations). At first SCAB denied that offer, as he wanted to get through the week on his own, however after much consideration he agrees to join forces w/ KAI as long as they both agree that it was him who decided to team up in case any one ask. N' so the 2 teamed up together n' as the days went they began to grow a platonic bond, (you would would almost considered then friends) n' manage to come out of this w/ only a few injuries. At the end of the week an irken ship finally arrived n' the 2, as well as any other irkens that have survived, hitched on board n' were immediately separated. SCAB was soon taken w/ medical staff to an emergency room, where his antennas was later replaced w/ a robotic version of it, n' later told that he as well as a few other remaining irkens would be placed in liquid pods, where they would serve as "alpha test" subjects, while the scientist do physical genetic n' possibly mental alterations to their "beta" subject as a way of making said subject better soldiers, as well as explaining that they can go as far as they want, n' if anything goes wrong that's when they know how what kind of test they can do on the alphas, so that they don't end up like the beta. SCAB asked who was the beta, to which he got a simple answer...KAI. A few months passed, n' SCAB was in a coma like state, until one day he awoken on the ground covered in liquid goo n' was greeted by the scientist who explains to them that they have reached their limit w/ the beta n' they will now began performing the same painful experiments on him n' the rest of the alpha subjects. Now it should be noted that the during these test that alphas have suffered the somewhat same mental n' or emotional dysfunction, such as memory loss or difficulty controlling their emotions. For SCAB he has difficulty controlling some of his more "intense"emotions, as bacon in the day he was shown to be a rather reserved n' calmed looking, to which you would question if he even had any sort of emotions. At the end he, along side the others, have enhanced senses, they grew stronger, faster, n' every grew a couple inches taller. Later they were soon greeted by the head leading scientists, who told them that they would be sent to Convetia where they would be announced by the almighty tallest of their new rank, but soon SCAB asked about KAI n' what has happened to her. The head scientist explained that she is being kept confined in a cage, implemented w/ a behavioral implant as a way of preventing her from going completely feral, n' they decided to keep her alive, since she's the farthest advanced soldier that can still be used to serve the empire...however because they don't trust her to be on her own, since the implant doesn't fully pacify her blood lusting tendencies, they ask if any of them would offer to work along side her, if not they would have no choice but to erase her n' deem her as a failed experiment. Fearing of this, SCAB, without hesitation, accepted the the offer, n' was soon taken by the guards to retrieve KAI, while the rest of the irkens followed the head scientist to the ship, letting them know that the they should be waiting for them. As SCAB was following the guards to pick up KAI, he can't help but feeling a pit in his stomach, she hasn't seen KAI in months n' couldn't imagine to see what could've happened to her. When they finally arrived, SCAB was stunned (tho tried his best to cover it up) to see KAI looking like some caged animal...which she kinda is tbh. SCAB soon walked over to KAI n' explained as much as he knew on what was going on, which include that she was implanted w/ a behavioral implant, n' would be working along side him as partners. They were soon lead by the guards to a ship that would transport them to Conventia, (where they would be greeted by the tallest) to take part of the great unveiling of the empire's newest rank...the EXTERMINATORS. They would be assigned certain planets that are not only unsuited for the empire, but are also far off from the armada flight path (ex.URTH) where they will cleanse the planet of all organic life that inhabits it, once then they, will use their assigned ship's laser canon to blow said planet up n' return for their next mission. (Why don't they just blow the planet up, to make sure that none of the inhabitants are still alive afterwards.)Long story short KAI n' SCAB got assigned to their first planet yadayada they successfully exterminated it n' they later on became iconic duo, n' had developed a strong platonic bond.
