Hazbin Hotel redesign p2

Greetings my little Implings!

Welcome to part 2 of my HH redesign series, today we’re doing Vaggie, Angel Dust n’ Alastor.

Let’s start w/ Vaggie, Charlie’s girlfriend who has a pretty interesting development cycle for her character. Because in early artwork she was initially a sinner who died in the 80s, then in the pilot was rewritten to have died in the 2010s n’ now in the actual show she was once an exorcist turned demon due to her not wanting to kill sinners. So yeah she has gone through a significant change in terms of backstory. Now for her design she is described as a moth based demon, so I obviously leaned into that by making her bow into moth antennas, little pincers, n’ gave her fuzzies on her legs. As for her outfit, it was quite a challenge because I wanted her to look like she works at the hotel by giving her a hotel uniform, but also make it militaristic, as that is part of her character. But I think I managed to get around w/ a good enough design, w/ the outfit being relatively the same as Charlie w/ the exception of the red being changed to lavender. As for her X eye, well I just gave her a bad*ss X scar because why not.

Next is Angel Dust, who was once a man who grew up in a mob family n’ died in the later 40’s due to OD from the same substance he named himself after. During his time in hell he ended up becoming a, in other words, adult entertainer, n’ ended up reaching celebrity status because of it. Now Angel is a spider demon so like Vaggie I leaned in more towards a that in terms of physical appearance. Gave him a thorax made the dots under his eyes actual eyes, n’ gave him pincers. For his outfit just like Vaggie it was a challenge because I had to combine a mafia man w/ an adult entertainer, but I think I did a fairly descent job. For colors I wanted to keep the pink but make it desaturated a bit, in reference to angels earlier design where he was more black n’ white. N’ just like his earlier design I gave him a heart skull symbol on his chest because why not I think it looks cool.

N’ finally Alastor the radio demon aka one of the top 4 most iconic tumblr sexy men right next to the Oncler, Bill Cipher, n’ sans undertale. Now from my understanding Al’s backstory consists of him being a man who grew up in New Orleans during the 20’s, he was a cannibal/serial killer that also ran a radio show, n’ he died after getting shot in the head by a hunter while he was trying to bury a body in a deer hunting ground. Now i already had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do w/ him, for starters make him black n’ white to represent the time he died as well as showing how old fashion he is. Gave him a rib cage outside his coat to add more spice n’ to represent him being a cannibal, along side the red teeth n’ claws. As well as the deer features in reference to how he died, again on a deer hunting ground. I was gonna give him a suit but I thought a trench coat just made him more sketchy looking. Along w/ changing his mic staff to represent actual 1920 mics, which in my version is where he has a static deer like being residing in. Also I gave him 2 mouths, I know it’s not totally visible, but I like the idea that Al’s front mouth is always closed but when he opens it it reveals a second mouth behind it, cause it feel like it adds more to the whole cannibal things ya know.
