Greetings my little Implings!

So many people here may know what Hazbin Hotel n’/or its spin off series Hellava Boss is right? Well recently the show Hazbin Hotel came out on Amazon, n’ I’ve been seeing a lot of people not only making the usual fan content of the show through my other socials, but also redesigns. N’ wanted to tap into that because why not you know. This is just purely for shits n’ giggles n’ I thought it would be fun to take a stab at some of the characters n’ redesign them in my own style. Starting w/ The Morningstar family.

Now a quick background check, the Morningstars consist of Charlie (the shows main protagonist n’ princess of hell) n’ her parents Lucifer n’ Lilith. I decided i wanted to do all 3 of them because I felt like if I was gonna redesign Charlie I might as well do her parents too right? So let’s start w/ Charlie, now in the show despite being the princess of hell, she’s actually a massive sweetheart. W/ her main goal being to rehabilitate sinners in the pride ring so that they can get into heaven for 2 reasons. The first is to solve the overpopulation problem in hell, n’ the second being to provide a substitute for the initial solution to the overpopulation, being that of a yearly extermination by the angels of heaven. Now before I go into detail I want to clarify that no, Charlie’s design in the show is not meant to be based off of a goat, she’s meant to be based off of a porcelain doll. (Hence the red cheeks) W/ that I kinda wanted to lean into that aspect a little more, but w/ a twist. You see I thought it would be fun to incorporate a snake like element into design as she is the daughter of Lucifer, by giving her a line across her mouth that makes her look more doll like. As for her outfit I decided to invert the colors of her suit to not only set her apart from the rest of the cast n’ make her look more angelic looking, but also having it be symbolic that she’s still a demon. Also I gave her little stubby horns to reference her mom, cause I feel like her OG design takes way too much after her dad.

Speaking of, for Lucifer when looking at his OG design I noticed that he gave off ringmaster vibes. Which I guess makes sense cause there were circus imagery in his debut ep n’ I’m assuming it’s a pun on the fact that he is the Master of all Hell which are divided up into 7 rings (in reference to the 7 deadly sins of course). So for him I decided to keep that aspect while also make it more regal looking cause well…he is the King of Hell so it only makes sense. I also changed the color to black, red n’ gold, cause while I know it looks edgy it’s meant for symbolic purposes ok. Cause I wanted both Lu n’ Lilith’s outfits to be in contrast w/ Charlie, cause they’re rulers of hell n’ she wants to get the sinners to heaven. It’s the subtle things. For his face I gave him snake eyes w/ the rings around the eyes n’ everything, to not only make him look older but also more depressed looking. Cause in the first ep, when Lu was cast down to hell, he was forced to only see the bad of humanity, which made him a depressed slum for the most part. So I wanted to capture that in my design. Also I made Luci halo into a black spiky crown, cause again King of Hell.

N’ finally Lilith, now she’s the one we know least about cause she hasn’t fully appeared in the show, only briefly in the last ep of season 1. But regardless I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to do w/ her. To keep it simple I made her a tall, vampiric, demon, MILF. Like Luci I made her colors black, red n’ gold, gave her 2 horns for the price of 1, n’ of course have her some royal flair as she is the Queen of Hell. Also the reason why I gave her a vampire aesthetic is, when looking her up to get some ideas I found that Lilith is often called a creature of the night n’ is known for being a seductress of men aka a sucubus. N’ since those guys are vampiric in design such as the bat wings, n’ since bats are creatures of the night it only made the most sense.
