GF Scalene n Euclid

So ever since we got more information about Bill’s parents after the release of TBOB n’ the tie in website. I really wanted to draw them, both in human n’ in shape form.

So I wanted to take this moment to lore dump on you real quick n’ give a brief explanation of who the hell Bill’s parents are. So the first time they’re mentioned was in journal 3, on the Oracle page. But only to confirm that Bill had parents to begin w/.

It wasn’t until the Book of Bill came out where we learned more of Cipher’s origins. How he was born in a 2D world called Euclydia n’ was gifted w/ a rare mutation to see the 3rd Dimension. How through codes within the book, we find out the names of his parents were Scalene n’ Euclid. W/ Scalene being the mom n’ Euclid being the father. N’ through the website we learn that they were also triangles w/ one being blue n’ the other being red. Although the site never really specified which is which, the majority seemed to believe that Scalene to be blue n’ Euclid being red.

The website also shows that one of Bill’s parents also seems to be wearing a hat similar to Bill’s in the show, most likely from Euclid. N’ w/ that many fans predicted that Bill’s hat actually belonged to his father but after his dimensions demise he decided to keep it for himself. Same goes for the theory that Bill’s bow tie belonged to his mom, even though it’s not really that noticeable I like to believe that’s it’s possible. Given how the book n’ website show how Bill has a much closer relationship w/ his mom then his dad.

Which is why I decided to include a bow tie into Scalene’s design. Speaking of when I came to designing their human designs, I based them off my Bill design for obvious reasons. But you may notice they look more human like compared to my skeleton looking monster Bill. This is because I plan on making a timeline drawing by showing Bill during different stages of his life specifically w/ my design. N’ I like to imaging he looked pretty normal looking but after his dimension was destroyed n’ him staying in the nightmare realm for trillions of years. He slowly but noticeably changed into my current Bill design n’ ended up looking unrecognizable compared to what he originally looked like.

Anyway as for outfits I also made them classy looking, giving off old money vibes ya know. Not only to match my Bill but also I head canon Euclid as the mayor of Euclidia, as I’ve seen other ppl come up w/ this head canon. Cause I feel like it adds more depth n’ angst to the lore of Bill n’ his early life. Oh n’ also I have them some gray streaks in their hair, as a way of showing their age. Along w/ a drawing of both of their shape forms, w/ the reason why their eyes are on the side is because I headcanon that Euclideans have eyes on the side of their faces, w/ Bill’s mutation being that he was born w/ his eye smack dab in the middle of his face. But yeah I’m really proud of how these designs turned out.
