3020 challenge entry

Greetings my little Implings!

This is my entry for the 3020 challenge on the Arts and OCs amino, where you take one of your OCs and redesign them as to what they would look like in the year 3020. So it’s basically just a “what your OC would look like when they’re older?” Type of challenge, with the addition of what their world would look like too.

Now when it comes to challenges I often pick Idan, but for this particular one I figured Thanatos would be a better choice cause I feel like he’ll be more interesting.

Now Thana is one of my more...depressing characters. I mean he’s struggling to cope with the death of his mom, he lives a life of total isolation, he lives in constant grief and despair for the mortals especially when he has to send their souls to the afterlife, he often dreads about the upcomings of Armageddon because he feels the mortals don’t deserve to be involved with it, and he just really hates his life and his father because he feels his dad views him as a prodigy rather then his son. Sooooo yeah, the guys going through some sh*t, however in the year 3020 things are quite different.

So in my 3020, I imagine it being a fusion between high tech and futuristic and apocalyptic wasteland. I mean yeah you got some cool new tech to help ya with everyday life, but your sky is literally filled with pollution to the point where you have to wear a gas mask every time you walk outside. Sure you some flying cars here and there but you also have a sh*t ton of gun violence happening over at a nearby grocery store. And because of that Thana has become less sympathetic towards the mortals and instead of being sorry for making them leave the earth he actually is somewhat relieved to get them out of their due to how f*cked up the world is, to the point where he believes that Armageddon is the only way of saving them, a chance for humans to start over a begin a new, you know that sort of thing. And to top it all off he has become somewhat less secluded and yes...he is wearing a wedding ring around his neck don’t judge me.
