You read love stories till you can't dream about anything else. You write stuff about worlds that don't exist and people you can only imagine. You fall in love and find out it's nothing like the stories. You fall out of love and realize that things aren't ever after. It happens again and again, and you lose faith in those childish things. Someone comes along and shakes it all up again. Someone acts sweet and kind and mysterious like in the books. Someone makes you believe in the silly notions again. Then you wake up.
