Done with Cotman watercolors, Strathmore 140# cold press watercolor paper, and White Acrylic.

So Mars is done! I have been working on her off and off since...September. I needed to take a break from watercolor, so I switched to digital for a while. I wanted to make sure this picture of mars turned out better than my last picture of her (not my favorite picture in the world Defiance from Phobos Deimos ) so I took my time to make her all pretty. I picked "Princess of Incantation" because of her Shinto faith and her priestess abilities.

Fun side notes: I misplaced my frisket (liquid latex) when I was in the middle of adding watercolor to this picture, so I just painted all of the stars with acrylic (the pastelly haze is still watercolor tho). I think my tablet pen likes to go off on a wild rendezvous with my bottle of frisket just to mess with me. XD

Just for the record, I havent forgotten about Haruka. Princess Uranus is in the drawing stage. ;)

I'm wanting to finish the digital commissions first before I get to the watercolor ones. When I get to the watercolor ones then I will probably also get to Uranus.

Soooo I may start working on her this weekend (shes actually 70% done already, it's just getting the details on it and cleaning up some lines).

For now yes. XD Its possible to do the asteroid senshi because there are pictures of juno, pallas, ceres, and vesta. But Im still thinking about it.

As for the other non solar system senshi, I would haveto make up planets or stars as thier home planet. :/ and that takes more time and effort from the projects I really want to do.....

I suppose for the Asteroid Senshi, the title would be "Princesses of Showbiz"...  Or that could be for the Sailor Star-Lights?  Or maybe "Princesses of Pop Music"...?

i like how the space background isn't really black (too much, anyway!) but purple too. it kind of echoes her eyes (which look amazing, how did you get them to match so close?)

Yeah I know what you mean about a too black background. Ive been learning that less is more with watercolors, and over working a picture too much can ruin it. Oh snap I saw a mistake....crud. cant unsee....

I'm having difficulty understanding your question. Is it...
1) How did I make the right and left eyes match eachother. (Similar color/size etc)
2) How did I make the colors of the eyes also match the background
3) insert your real question here. ^^

Oh that would be really cool, my most recent upload was a water color piece as well, but the colors are fairly dull. Id love to see your technique!
