I'll immediately admit I didn't know who 'Mac Miller' is - but this image immediately shouts 'rapper' and 'fun' to me. That's a style of music I only rarely listen to... So after looking, I searched, and found he is indeed a rapper, out of Pittsburg. Listening to a track now while writing this - your image seems to me to match the sound perfectly. I can't tell if the background actually depicts Pittsburg (been there only once), but it could be. (It would be fun if it actually is, but I don't think that really matters - 'could be' is enough.)

So for me, this image is a perfect match to his sound - excellent work!

Let me just start off with stating that I like this piece. It has great composition, the use of layered effects is done properly without taking too much away from the focal point of the desktop, and the colors work well to define the desktop field better than most. I'm not a huge nut for bright desktops as I tend to keep my desktop fonts white, but this one works pretty well, aside from a few things that I feel should be covered.

I've been around these parts for a while. While its great that you provide killer works, you have a few steps to cover before submitting deviations. For starters the desktop is listed as being supported under a creative commons license in the image, yet there is none that defines the restrictions behind your work. You also neglected to provide a direct source to the image used, not just for this desktop but for a rather large number of others in your gallery as well. The use of such a low resolution image as the background is a bit of a drawback as well. I feel as if it would do better at 2560x1600 or lower to prevent the jaggies from distorting the image too much.

Credit and use higher resolution images when making such large desktops, other than that keep up what you are doing!
