have you ever considered doing work based on the Deed of Paksenarrion?
Haven't read that one yet, and must admit never heard of it. Is it good?
Oh ya. It's an interesting book. Farmgirl runs off to join a mercenary company instead of being married to the son of a pig farmer.

There's lots of iconic scenes to pull from here.
It sounds interesting. So, it's basically a trilogy wrapped into one book? I see it's over 1000 pages long, and it's written back in the 80s.
