Sakuya and Banryu [Read Description]

The battle where Sakuya uses Banryu happened about a year after the Shichinintai were executed. She only ever used it once to take down Kazuma, and then left it with her grandfather.

She arrived wearing a bear Yokai pelt, which was the fur of a fallen friend who advised her to use his fur as additional armor.

She went to reclaim Banryu from Kazuma, and thwarted his plans to turn the Shichinintai into his own mindless soldiers. She was cornered when she was able to lift it from its stand, despite the fact that it took several strong men to carry it. Some believe that she may have been possessed by Bankotsu’s spirit momentarily, others think that the blade may have been sentient and chose her to carry it. After that battle, she felt no one should ever use it again and lost the strength to wield it.

After that battle, she was never seen again. No one knows where she went, and those who did were tight lipped. Some rumors say she had a child to tend to, but that’s unconfirmed.

Historians still debate on where she went to this day.
