Oh wow... I know so few people familiar with this visionary, heart-breaking book. I just found your account, so I have no idea (yet) if you are a comic book person. But, have you read the Grant Morrison/Frank Quitely book WE3? Just about the only thing I can think of with a similar power to Plague Dogs. Surely Grant Morrison was inspired by it!
