The story of development: 
So I have a task — to make a calculator icon. I try many ideas, like to display part of real interface on the icon with buttons, etc. But it was really standard. After that I try to put this symbols in one solid color, but it looks really boring, so I decide to split symbols elements (lines, dots) to different layers in space. So some elements became little darker and the icon itself became more visually interesting.
