WATERMELON DREAM by DeepChrome WATERMELON DREAM by DeepChrome
There's a group called Tangerine Dream out there. I happen to like their music too. :D

But this is a Watermelon Dream. Came out of some puttering with Apophysis 2.02e and discovered that a fruit-toned gradient, with a crisp green background, looked plenty watermelon-y indeed.

Postwork in Photoshop 7.0.

You have an incredible eye for color. So much so that I'd guess that it's a passion of yours. Anyway, it certainly seems to be.

Fantastic. :)

I love and wear bright colors. So yeah, you're right. It's a passion of sorts with me. ;)

It takes one to know one. For me, color can make my day -- or make it worse, depending.

Do you know who Mark Rothko is? I adore his work, but a lot of people would look at it and go, "eh." His work (he is an artist who works with traditional media, and paints these huge, huge canvases with layer upon layer of color until the canvas just vibrates with it. He makes them so large so that you can stand before them and they just envelope you with color. You can find pics of his work on the net, but they're just flat and unimpressive.

IME, with most people who love color it is a passion, and I instantly recognized it in you. You have a marvelous eye for it and the results captivate me. :)

That's cool. I used to eyeball abstract art a lot when I was in uni/highschool. It got my attention more than say, realism. And that was mostly because of the colors. I remember trying to duplicate a Kandinsky for an assignment--gorgeous yellows and blues--and making a right mess of it. :dead:

However, the Impressionists did have a thing for light and color--and some actual works I've seen in museums just shimmer with light and color. You could see the passion in them.

And thank you for your compliments on my work! :)

You are most welcome! I love to read what others see in our fractals. It really gives them (the fractals, not the others... =p ) a different dimension and, in some cases, a life of their own.

I think, that in some ways, is both the strength and weakness of fractal art. It's a strength where if it's a great piece, people can all take something from seeing it. The weakness sometimes can be, is that it gets hard to depict any one thing in a fractal and to get people to see it. ;)

I can't eat hotdogs. They are always stolen by ninja's.

I can't eat pie. Some dirty little bastard named Horner stuck his thumb in it.

I can't eat cookies. I'm deadly allergic to traces of nut.

And I can't eat crazy people. They taste to funny (I like clowns though).

;p
