DREAMCATCHER by DeepChrome DREAMCATCHER by DeepChrome
Apologies if I happen to have a fractal with that name...after a while the titles starting with certain words start to blur together, and you wonder if you've come up with an original one or not. :O_o: I picked the title on the fact that this one reminds me of a Native American dreamcatcher, with the interwoven portions, and those spiraly parts extending outwards like feathers and the like.

Anyways, this was the result of another of my adventures with one of * skyfirehead's spiralize scripts, and plenty of triangle tweaking after that. :) Enjoy.

Postwork in Photoshop 7.0: border, frame, text.

One of the main thing about this one is the working color pallete, really did a good job on picking the right colors and blending them. One of the hardest things about a non black baground is essentially making it look like it belonged there, most of the time the white or other color picks up a lot of noise/lines that black normally would not. Great job on that.

I really like the painted effect on the fractal, the fractal has a very nice spiral from too it without being overbearing/overdone.

A+ work as usual

Thank you. I like spirals myself, as long as they add something to the piece. And when I saw this had multiple spirals all subtly interlocked, I knew I had a winner in terms of "MUST render this..." :D Glad you liked it so much.

Great colors. It looks likes a pattern that was sponge-painted. Pretty neat.

Thanks. :thanks: :D Yeah, detailing's something I've wanted to get into my fractals for a long time. Only recently have I found a means to really take that aspect of my work up a notch.

Wow! This is Apo??? It looks like a painting or a beautful, ornate brooch with lots of weird gems in it. Very different and very nice!

Thanks. :D

If you don't believe me, look at skyfirehead's stuff. She does fractals that don't look like they came from any recognizable program, and it's all Apo. :faint: I get a lot of inspiration from her because I end up seeing what the program can do if you push the envelope with it. :D
