DISTORTION III by DeepChrome DISTORTION III by DeepChrome
Hmmm....I may be up for a Distortion IV if I can come up with it without repeating a pattern or look from the others.

Enjoy. Apophysis 2.03a, slight blurring and Levels touchup along with title and border in PS 7.0.

Thank you. Glad you liked the green. I don't use it very often in my fractals. Maybe I should... :)

Weird...for some reason I like this piece a lot but I can't say why :) Maybe it's within the shapes that resemble some vectorial work :)

 I was going for a rather clean, yet funky design. Maybe it did resemble vector work because of that. Either way, I'm glad you liked it.

Nice! Love the dynamic look, as if it is swirling and exploding. And I like the monochromatic approach you've taken on this Distortion series, it really stands out! Keep it up! :D

Thanks. Hey and it was all on the advice of a certain fractalist who suggested using disc variation. :D

Methinks the next series I'll try something twisted with sinusoidal or something.

I have to tell you, this one didn't do all that much for me. While I can see it's appeal to others, I get the feeling that the fact that you only use one shape, over and over and over and over again, eventually causes the shot to be somewhat stale. The colors are relatively good, giving the shot an actually old fashioned feel. They seem to make it look faded, as though with age.

Kind of reminds me of a butterfly, or a moth.

:shrugs: Yeah, this didn't quite get there, ya know?

But it at least had a different degree of distortion. But yes, something is missing. At least I'll know to push things a bit further in IV, or maybe just switch to something else.

Thanks for your honest input. I value that more than the "oh wow" stuff when it comes to something like this. Also glad you found something you liked in it as well.
