CAPPUCINO by DeepChrome CAPPUCINO by DeepChrome
I've wanted to do a fractal that felt like coffee for a long, long time. Just last night I rendered up one that when I fiddled with backdrops and gradients, made me think so much of a cup of cappucino that the title was dead easy to do.

Apophysis 2.02g, with Rings variation. I'm getting to really like what Rings can do. It feels more painting-like, instead of fractal-like to me, and I find it fun to manipulate.

Postwork consists of text, border, frame, yada yada from Photoshop 7.0.

Thanks. It's probably my one and only brown fractal! :D Not that I mind. Soon as I saw the colors I thought "Coffee." So it paid off I guess. :P

Instead of asking you how to get the 'Rings' variation, as I have done with a couple of other variations, I'm just goign to ask as a whole:

How do I get additional variations for Apophysis?

Oh. Ok.

You don't "add" variations from an outside program. It's all embedded in Apophysis.

As for getting it to use more variations...in the Variations list, just check Random, or in the Options window (the white thing with the two checkmarks in it) just check whatever variations strike your fancy, and click Apply.

I hope that helps.

quite cool.
im not a fan of the typography but besides that, it's an awesome fractal.
good work on making the bg color match the overall theme.

Thanks for mentioning something you didn't like--typography's a challenge sometimes. A lot of the time, I manage to find a fairly unobtrusive font, but other times I end up picking something I *think* works, and somebody tells me it sticks out too much. I guess that's a hit or miss case sometimes. ;P

Glad you liked the background--I got tired of putting black or white behind my fractals, and decided to see what'd happen if I made the backgrounds as colorful.

Love the coloring in this one, including the background, it's blended extremely well together.

Very flavourfulableismistic.=p

I can see how is got the name. It's like a repressive coffee stain on the shirt of a higher oppressive order of society. Slowly staining the way to the heart.

TO THE HEART! Today, the shirt. Tomorrow, the pants. The day after, THE WORLD.

MUAHAHAHAHA.

*cough*

Sorry. Coffee overload.

Geode.

I'm liking the more 3D feel your fractals are gaining.

Ooh, good one! :D And thanks. I didn't think I was headed to 3D, but in a way, they seem to be, because I'm focusing more on what's in the form instead of the form itself? I dunno, what's your thought on that?

Actually, I think just the opposite...the forms themselves are becoming more defined.
