BEJEWELED GLORY by DeepChrome BEJEWELED GLORY by DeepChrome
Okay, like I said, I decided I wanted to do a more nonstandard Grand Julian. So triangular is back. :D I also decided to do some funky composition/placement of it as well, just to make it look a bit more interesting.

Here it is. The "stones in settings" effect I got here, I actually saw with the original random gradient assigned to the fractal as I worked on it. Then I lost it while I was still tinkering. Anyways, it took some fiddling, but I got it back, and I'm glad I did.

No postwork done to the flame itself--all I had to do here was duplicate the .png layer, and then flattened, popped on a title and a border. :)

Enjoy.

Yet stranger Grand Julians are to come. :)

*whispers* It's all your fault xero-sama. ALL your fault. :p

Thank you. I was aiming for rich-looking, so it's good to see someone else catch onto that.

Very very nicely done Amy. I think you might want to change the full view size so you can see the entire fractal at once, but this reminds me a lot of *Zueuk's works..

Impressive job!

Thank you.

Well, his "jeweled fractal look" did inspire most of this. I'm still wondering how in the hell he got that shimmer into the GJ's spheres. Going to need to work more on that. :dead: I've tried fooling with some variations in the first transform to see if that's how he did it, but I've yet to get anything even partially resembling that effect. I'll have to keep tinkering. I feel like I'm just starting to get into the world of "nonconformist" Grand Julians. :D

Yeah, I'll fix the fullview. Maybe 1200xwhatever might work better. Thanks for the tip.
