So today, after three days of screwing around with us, our insurance company finally arranged my initial scans that i have to have before i visit my specialist. I have to have a CT scan and a bone scan-- that's where they inject me with a radioactive material (or was it nuclear? I can't remember, is it the same thing?) and they wait for it to seep into the cancers and then scan my whole body, to make sure it hasn't spread any further than it has. I suspect i might have another tumor in my lower arm, but they said they didn't see anything, so, we'll have to see. I have good hopes!

So, my scans are on Thursday, and I meet with my specialist on Friday. Hopefully then I can have the appropriate surgeries to have a port put in, then they can arrange my PET scan, and I think we'll be good from there! Hopefully I'll start chemo sometime next week.  I just want the ball to get rolling already! I ain't going to lie, when I'm not on a pain pill regiment, my arm *hurts*. It feels like someone's stabbing me with red-hot irons, and I can't move my arm fully without putting myself in agonizing pain. Hell, even typing as is hurts like balls! But, this will be something that gets addressed, so I think it'll be aright once they get everything arranged.

Aren't they going to let you heal post surgery before chemo? It seems dangerous not to . . .
