Hello, and welcome to DecorusCosplay! "Decorus" is a latin word which means "beautiful", "graceful", "charming". As you might have already found out, here we showcase the most beautiful cosplay outfits and photos around the world. Everyone is free to watch us, but we'll be giving special attention to upcoming "join requests" since this group is for the highest quality cosplayers. Not every photo needs to be a masterpiece to be accepted in the group. Though, in order to keep it organized, there are some rules our members should follow:
RULES/GUIDELINES
We wish to display the best, so bear in mind that everything from Make-up/Wig, Costume detail, Character portraying, Photography skill and Photoshop/Photo quality counts or any of the admins have the right to reject your photo.
As it's obvious, every photo needs to have good quality. It's always a disappointment when we see an amazing costume with a blurred or grainy photo.
You need to be either the photographer or the cosplayer in order to submit your work.
When sending pictures, please keep in mind that we might decline those who only show their owner's face. (Meaning no myspace angles/camwhore are allowed.) After all, we are looking forward to see great outifts in equally great photography.Same goes to make-up test.
Please try to submit ONLY your best photos.
You can photoshop your pictures all you want, but please do not add any speech balloons and things of the sort. You can always add a thin frame with a "neutral" color around the picture and a small cosplayer/photographer copiright tag, but please do not write any big phrases with weird fonts or brushes. That way, your deviation will be declined.
Submit only three photos per outfit.
Photos containing nudity (not too graphic) are allowed but should have the "Mature Content" tab on them.
Submit into the correct folders.
Convention photos are not allowed. It's a disappointment when we see a great costume with a bunch of people on the background. Of course, if the photo and costume in question are REALLY, REALLY good, then we'll open an exception. Preview photos are also not allowed.
Stage photos can be excuse to a certain extent when the performers are not blurred, there is not stage equipment shown in the photo [e.g speakers, event banners, lights, microphone stand etc.] and lastly, if there's a screen, please show us a full screen and the content of the screen must match the performance [e.g, scenery, narration] or else the photo may have a high chance of being rejected.
Your costume doesn't need to be made by yourself in order to be in the group. If it's good, then we'll accept it.
The "Movies and Books" folder only applies to movies/books made "from scratch". Those that were firstly made and thought to be movies/books. For example, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is in fact, a movie, but since it was firstly made as a game, deviations containing characters from said movie will go to the "VideoGames" folder.
Note: As the group gets bigger, we have been getting even more strict then before, So if one of your photos is "declined", don't think we're putting you on the side and don't feel bad about it. Instead, take it as an encouragement and keep on practicing! : ) |
