SEASON OF THE EVENT:  Late Spring/Early Summer
Nicholasville*/Kentucky, USA
* PLEASE NOTE
The town I have in my stories is named the same as the real town of Nicholasville/KY, but since I don't live there myself I can't no matter how much I research make it full justice, so what I write is just my own fictional version of the town - NOT the actual truth/reflection about the real town.
Therefore matters like typographical things etc is simply just my own work.

EVENT III - Mixed

Date: APR 1 - JUN 30

AGES FOR RIDERS AND HORSES (unless otherwise noted)
Minimum age for riders: Kid classes: -14 years | Youth: 15-19 years | Adult: 20+ years
Minimum age for horses: At least 3 years for the lower ridden class. A good thing to remember is that most of the time a 3-4yo horse is only starting to learn the ropes no matter how talented you plan for it to become in the future. It can't be expected to enter the more advanced classes with high jumps or higher dressage skills etc. For me its a bit over the top to have a 5* jumper at the age of 4, HOWEVER I am not one to hinder your gameplay, but this is just like letting OCs wear helmets a personal opinion. As classes only show minimum age requirements  older horses may compete in a lower level class if you feel it is a beginner. A single horse can only enter a class once, but riders can enter a class multiple times.

*Do note that the "curtains" can be removed if there are a big number of audience attending.
Just figured showing a ref with curtains can 'help' if you aren't keen on drawing people in the background.
The seating area shown in "pic 1" are reserved for horse owners, riders and their attending family members.

Checkmark Obstacles
Are up to you to design unless otherwise noted!

Trophy What is the purse, is it real and why do you have it? What's with the other prizes?
The purse is stated in USD (Dollars). Obviously (and sadly) the purse is not real money - sorry. But I wanted something more that our fictional characters can win. Then it's up to you if you want to actually 'use' it as something in your own stories. The same goes with the items (tack, fictional superfeed etc) you can win at Pemberley as well. Not all things are about getting real money and dA points in the HARPG world - at least not as I remember it when I started playing it. If you have suggestions of other things one could win Im totally open for suggestions.

Arrow (left) Icon micra # Extra classes dont always have a drawn course to follow - however you often will find inspiration in form of YT vid's or reference images are provided. Video Icon ultramini = video reference.

Clover  # RNG classes - won't be judged by the matrix system - instead they will be run by RNG only.
To enter you will only need to make a sketch image (fullbody or headshot) with a simple bg (vague background etc).

Multiple enteries for different classes in one image is ok, however each entery within the image need to be clearly marked/separated and have its own enteryform written out in the artist comments.

Weather
Real dates that I used for the forecast was may 20-may 22 2018 - Location: Nicholasville, Kentucky (the weatherstation site did change it to Blue Grass airportstation). All outdoor arenas are of course well prepped and well drained in case of rain/snow etc. Paths are sanded if needed. Stalls are warm and cozy.

REMEMBER
I never force anyone to follow realism the same way I do, nor expect people to research things the same way. As long as you depict your entery in a believable way for the level entered Im happy :)

Optional Event Prompt - Text

Info about the different classes is located below the text.

In case you would like to do some sort of story about your experience at Pemberley I have done this little bit. For example you could use this for the bonus art/text but there is no must in that.

Santos

Santos pulled his hand through his slightly curly hair. It had been his idea when they all discussed it, Tonya had asked if he needed help but he had declined it at the time. Now he wished he hadnt. How was he supposed to pull this through? He looked through the schedule. Surely people would get where to go if he just put some notes up here and there, and especially on places where people had to go. Before the contestants came he made sure he put up information in the bathrooms in the guestrooms, in the feed room, in the coffee corner of the lounge. He even put up a note at the small BBQ place outside the guestwing and one in the center of the labyrinth.

However when he told Jeff, the other man groaned and rubbed his face in frustration, mumbling something it was so typical of him. Since the submissions for entery was done online, Jeff told Santos that he could just e-mail the information out as well as mail it out in a traditional manner just to cover all bases. The only thing Santos had to do after people had arrived was to collect them all for a up to date information talk, just in case anything had changed. Santos shrugged. That worked...hopefully.

While Tonya had gathered the people in the guestwing dining room, Santos did his welcome speach before the roman looking colons in the garden. He loved speaking infront of people and make them laugh. There wasnt much to add to the information already given out but Santos still made sure to tell the crowd about the promising stockhorse* that would be raffled off among those entering the main western events and that the award ceremony for that would be done by Miss Darcy, a trustee of the Darcy Foundation, who also was the one donating the horse. Santos wasnt that into western personally when it came to actually competing in it, but he was interested and knew the basics. When asked he had said he liked the jousting more, if asked another time he would reply with that archery was more his thing. Why did anyone had to be interested in just one thing? The same went for most things in his life. Who said it had to be just a woman for example, and he had no problem with a open relationship if his partner for the moment was up for it. Not that he was known to have long relationships. He saw several 'interesting' people and wasnt beyond giving his smile a little more heat nor give them a wink. Towards the ladies he even made sure to flex a little. Subtly of course because he knew he would get a wack on his head by Jeff if he saw him do that.

He felt fairly pleased with the information meeting but he noted as he left that some had walked up to Tonya who had also come, as well as to Jeff. Both of his co-workers had no problem of breaking things down further. Santos just shrugged his shoulders. If they had questions it was just to ask when needed. Or just take it as it came. Or read the information again. They had the schedule and that was the most important thing. Tonya and Jeff was too worried. Everything would be alright.
*More info about the horse below, day 2.

Classes

Please - Look at the class you want to enter. Pay attention to what riders and mounts “should” wear to give your image a realistic touch, background etc. I spend a good deal of time researching information so I hope you do the same. Another thing I look at is the small details that can make a picture a little more interesting. And while not a requirement - I love stories.

Weather:
Morning: Fair,  84*F / 28.8*C

Arrow (left) Icon micra # Hobbyhorse jumping
Riders of any age can compete. Only two legged ‘horses’ will be accepted in the competition. A hobby horse can be made in any way you can imagine, wood, socks, felt or sewn (with or without a mouth). Class 1 are easier for children due to the cross-rails being lower in the middle.
Divisions will be the following.

    Class 1: Cross-rails 40 cm (15.7in.)
    - For Kids/Youth.

    Class 2: Cross-rails, 55 cm (21.6in.) & Verticals, 70 cm (27.5in)
    - For Kids/Youth/Adults
(common You BIG stars - show how good YOU are at jumping without your horse, Jumps may be raised if there is enough for a all adult class).

Obstacles: Use Google to look up how these jump may look like. Usually fairly simple however. May have decorations on either side.

Morning (ca 10)

Halter (all ages)
This is a way to show off your horse (or your horse/pony’s breed) and perhaps tell a little about it at the same time. Now is the chance to strut your stuff, both you and your horse are well groomed and ready to shine in the ring!

A handler should be neatly dressed, the horse need to have a bridle on, to show in a halter is not allowed unless the horse/pony is a foal (under 1 year of age). Exception may be made for STOCKHORSE BREEDS since they have haltershows without bridle/bits. The horse should be shown in either a trot or standing still so all the legs shows. Image without a handler will not reccive a luckroll (a chance for 1-5 extra points).

Foals can be shown with or without their dam. If you show the mare and foal together, and the foal wear a halter the foal can either be tied to dam (the foal tied to a girth - see the clydesdale reference below for how the girth looks like) or you can use a second handler for the foal. You can also show the foal without a halter. If the foal is shown on its own, it still has to have a halter on. You can't use a combo image (dam and foal) to show in different classes (one for the foal, one for the mare). If you want to show the dam she need her separate image with just her, its just if the foal is small and might need its dam to feel secure the "combo" image is ok, but then the main focus is to be on the foal (the mare only needs to be "hinted" in the background). Only the foal will be judged.

Each "ring" are made of a short white "fence" (think of the one that goes around the dressage arena).

If enough enters there will be class winners (the groups devided into breedtype groups, ie Sporthorses, Drafts, Ponys OR breedgroups QH, Shetland pony etc) and a BIS (the winners of all classes go against eachother). See more below. While all classwinners are judged by scoring and they each get purse money/ribbons etc the BIS will be done by RNG (numbers depending on how many classwinners there is) The BIS Halter will "just" get a extra ribbon and the honor. Foals will only go against other foals - not adult horses.

Purse (per type or breed*): $41 100  | 1st: 18 000 | 2nd: 9 000 | 3rd: 6 000 | 4th: 3 000 | 5th: 1 500 | 6th-10th: 600 |

If the amount of enteries permit it there will be at least typegroups, if possible even per bred. Here are some examples of type/breedgroups; Arabian, Riding & Carriage (ex Anglo Arabian, Friesian, Friesian Sporthorse, Icelandic, Knabstruper, Lipizzan & PRE/Andalusian, Marwari), Drafthorses (ex Fjordhorse, Irish Cob, Ardennais & Suffolk Punch), Longears (ex Donkey & Mule), Ponies (ex Gotlandpony, Shetlandpony, Ridingpony, Connemara, New Forest & Welsh (All Categorys)), Sporthorses (ex All Warmbloods, Standardbred, Thoroughbred).

Mid-day

Mounted archery - 'Hungarian Horseback Archery'  (Archery)
All 'rules' are described below just for informations sake.
A 90m track is divided into three 30m zones by tall posts; from each zone as many arrows as possible may be shot forwards/sideways/backwards into the appropriate side of the three sided target.
The 90m run must be covered within 16sec or else the rider is eliminated (this equates to a steady canter). Bonus points are gained by going faster. The length of shot varies between 9m when perpendicular to the middle target, up to 46m at an extreme forwards or backward angle. The scoring zones of the circular targets score differently for each target; with backwards (Parthian) shots scoring highest, then forwards hits, and sideways hits on the middle target scoring least. Arrows are normally held in the left (bow-) hand and shot with a 3-fingered (Mediterranean) release from the left-hand side of the bow.

It is a high-speed, timed spectator sport in which the competitor who rides the fastest with the least amount of missed targets wins. [from Wikipedia]

Simple Black Arrow, Bottom Right # DAY 2: WESTERN SPECIAL

Pemberley Park is opening its gate towards the western side of the industry. This is a try to see how it goes, if its something that will return in the future. Hopefully there is something that will appeal towards the crowd, both as competitor and audience. The cattle/broncos have been 'rented in' from outside. There are two named bulls in the lot, you are however obviously free to not use those if your 'cowboy' enters the bullriding class, if you dont want to. Then you simply go for a anonymous bull (do note breed/type below) that you design the look of yourself. All bronco (horses) are pefectly fine to design yourself. If this turns out with having a ok collection of enteries, I might develop it more and let the western side have 3 days as well.
Weather:
Morning: Fair,  83*F / 28.3*C
Mid-day: Mostly Cloudy,  85*F / 29.4*C
Evening: Thunder in the Vicinity/Light rain (T-Storms during the night),  72*F / 22.2*C
CATTLE/GOATS:
The cattle used are bulls, as well as young steers and heifers of Angus or Hereford lineage or a mix of crossbred beef cattle with Charolais or Brahman lineage.
The goat used are nubians/nubian crosses (dehorned).

Morning (ca 9)

 Clover  # RNG# Goat tying/Steer wrestling
This dual event have two classes, one aimed for kids and the other for adults.

    Class 1: Goat tying
For kids/teens. The participant rides to a tethered goat, dismounts, catches, throws (gently please!), and ties any three of its legs together. The goat must stay tied for six seconds after the contestant has backed away from the animal.

    Class 2: Steer wrestling
For adults. This is a rodeo event in which a horse-mounted rider chases a steer, drops from the horse to the steer, then wrestles the steer to the ground by grabbing its horns and pulling it off-balance so that it falls to the ground. The event carries a high risk of injury to the cowboy.

Kids Purse: $10 000  | 1st: 3 000 | 2nd: 2 000 | 3rd: 1 000 | 4th: 500 | 5th: 400 | 6th-10th: 300 |
Adult Purse: $41 100  | 1st: 18 000 | 2nd: 9 000 | 3rd: 6 000 | 4th: 3 000 | 5th: 1 500 | 6th-10th: 600 |
Where?: Warmup 1:2/1:3 Arena

Morning (ca 11)

Reining
Reining is a western riding competition for horses where the riders guide the horses through a precise pattern of circles, spins, and stops. All work is done at the lope (a slow, relaxed version of the horse gait more commonly known worldwide as the canter), or the gallop (the fastest of the horse gaits). Originating from working cattle, reining is often described as a Western form of dressage riding.
(from Wikipedia)

 Clover  # RNG: Barrel Racing
Barrel racing is a rodeo event in which a horse and rider attempt to complete a cloverleaf pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time. It combines the horse's athletic ability and the horsemanship skills of a rider in order to safely and successfully maneuver a horse in a pattern around three barrels (typically three fifty-five gallon metal or plastic drums) placed in a triangle in the center of an arena.
The above text are taken from Wikipedia.

Late Mid-day (ca 14)

Cutting
Class for suitable for horses aged 3 years+, riders aged 12 and over (please state both for both just in case I can sort it to classes). This a timed and judged event that horse and rider work as a team to demonstrate the horse's athleticism and ability to handle cattle (young steers and heifers of usually Angus or Hereford lineage). Each contestant is assisted by four helpers: two are designated as turnback help to keep cattle from running off to the back of the arena, and the other two are designated as herd holders to keep the cattle bunched together and prevent potential strays from escaping into the work area. (from Wikipedia)
Purse: $82 200  | 1st: 36 000 | 2nd: 18 000 | 3rd: 12 000 | 4th: 6 000 | 5th: 3 000 | 6th-10th: 1 800 |
Where?: Indoor Arena

 Clover  # RNG: "Rough stock"

    Class 1: Bronc riding
The rider is only allowed to hang onto a bucking horse with a type of surcingle called a "rigging"; and saddle bronc riding, where the rider uses a specialized western saddle without a horn (for safety) and hangs onto a heavy lead rope, called a bronc rein, which is attached to a halter on the horse.

    Class 2: Bull riding
The riders ride full-grown bulls instead of horses. Much more dangerous!
For info only (your entery will not be judged by this!): A qualified ride is worth up to 100 points. That is, 50 points for the rider and 50 points for the bull when he successfully rides the bull for 8 seconds. An event has four judges. Each judge may award up to 25 points. Two judges score the rider, and two judges score the bull. All of the judge's scores are tallied together. That figure is divided by two for the official score. The rider has to stay on top of the bull for 8 seconds. The rider has to ride with one free hand. He is disqualified if he touches himself or the bull with his free arm. Any ride that is scored 90 points or higher is deemed exceptional. (from Wikipedia)

You are free to create the look of the bull if you like but here are two that are designed/named.

Chance to win your next Western star!

Now is your chance to win your next star! To be able to win this budding star you need to enter TWO of the THREE main Western events during day 2 (RNG classes don't count). The point total of your enteries is what can win you this horse below. A big thank you towards the people who was kind enough to offer slots to their pretty horses. Design is made by me but "donated" by the Darcy family/The Darcy Foundation.
ONLY RULE: Please if you for any reason wont be able to keep said horse in the future, I ask you to offer the offspring back to those that own the parents. At least notify/tag them in the sales as well as myself. I wont be able to enforce this but it feels like common curtesy to do this.

The Horse

Shown here as an adult but its up to you to chose the age of it (youngest age is however a yearling, weaned and separated from its dam). If you win it I simply ask for you to keep the name and leave me credit for the design (thank you). I've chosen to keep the 'stud name' of the mare in the offsprings name since I see the foal as born with the mare owner and not at Pemberley. The horse will be present at Pemberley Park for viewing all weekend.

THE
Darcy Foundation small by decors

THE DARCY FOUNDATION is a foundation aimed to help and sponsor promising riders in all equine sports, weather
it is by giving some sort of scholarship (small amount of ($, fake) amount of money (and maybe also dA points)
or a promising wellbred horse of good HARPG lines to continue competing with (will be done in similar way I got the horse above).
Feel free to submit your application if you are to host your own competion. To apply the contestant need to enter at least two of the
shows classes judged by points, the one with most points will win the scholarship/horse. It can't be RNG classes.
In cases the won horse no longer can be kept, I (decors) as well as the sire/dam owner should be tagged (for knowledge).
Unless art is done for the horse you shouldn't sell it for real currency or dA points.

Mid-day

Pemberley Pony Mayhem Steeplechase Derby*
Something for that young wild rider that isn't afraid of anything - and a PONY that is game for ANYthing!

Shetland Steeplechase I by Fobtrix-Stock   Shetlandsteeplechase by decors

Obstacle Height (cm): The "jumps" will be made out of square bales of hay or a small hedgelike structure. There will be one lap, with the start and finish on the longside (on the same side the 'exit is on). The 'inner circle' is fenced off by a short white "fence" (think of the one that goes around the dressage arena) so there cant be any 'easy' shortcuts.
Haybales: 3’ x 18” x 15”, or 90 cm x 37,5 cm x 45 cm; several in a row stretching over the course, a potted bush in each end.
Hedge height: 27.5", or 70 cm; several in a row stretching over the course, a showjumping standard in each end.
Kids Purse: $10 000  | 1st: 3 000 | 2nd: 2 000 | 3rd: 1 000 | 4th: 500 | 5th: 400 | 6th-10th: 300 |
Where?:  Outdoor Arena 1:3 - please be aware its on grass

Clover  # RNG: Pemberley Hullabaloo Race*
A friendly (?) race for those usually not on the racecourse (ie dressage horses and jumpers). There will be two lap, with the start and finish on the longside (on the same side the 'exit is on). The 'inner circle' is fenced off by a white "fence" so there cant be any 'easy' shortcuts.
Purse: $41 100  | 1st: 18 000 | 2nd: 9 000 | 3rd: 6 000 | 4th: 3 000 | 5th: 1 500 | 6th-10th: 600 |
Where?:  Outdoor Arena 1:3 - please be aware its on grass

*These two classes is to see if there is any interest of having races at Pemberley, nothing super big and serious but...Might be for both TBs and STBs.
