“Who the hell are YOU and WHAT are you doing in MY office?”
Those thirteen words was the first ones she spoke to him, her eyes narrowed and her hands gripping the hayfork she had picked up as a weapon pointing it at him. No hi nor hallo.
Her current ‘office’ was just a horsebox so it wasn't like it was hard to ´break into’ it. Last night was one of the few times she had actually forgotten to pull the chain around the bars at the door and hook the padlock on it. When she saw the door open as she came up towards the ‘boxoffice’ she hoped it wasn't one of the horses that had somehow gotten it open. Just the thought of the mess, possible poop and the possible risk of a horse that had eaten something in there it shouldnt have made her quicken her steps.
As she heard the humming she had picked the hayfork up as she went. None of the jockeys would be here THIS early and none of them...would have hummed ‘Over the rainbow
