Print Horses! by DeathPwny

Hi folks. I'm very excited to announce that as of today, you can officially order my ponies to be 3D-printed on Shapeways through SuperFanArt and delivered right to your doorstep.

www.shapeways.com/shops/SuperF…

I test printed most of them, but it was on my own account and for SuperFanArt, a new one had to be created and thus it's like they're printed the first time, and sometimes there might be issues. In those cases I'd correct the model asap, but they should all be printable. Check out the other designers as well

Get them while they're fresh!

Obviously, there aren't all the ponies, so which ones would you like to see? I guess I'm obligated to include the spa ponies.

Finally ordered Boulder.

Quite pricey, but he looks fabulous and comes with an extra Maud!

That is totally awesome!  I knew as soon as I heard that Hasbro was joining forces with Shapeways that you'd be able to do this and you did! Congrats and I hope you make good money off of it!

I've 3D printed ponies for 3 months now and I am still amazed by it. Also, I don't post them cause I need to paint them. Any special paint you guys recommend?
DeathPwny's avatar
Yeah, you can use acrylics to paint plastic, but you can also have it printed in color with the full color sandstone and full color plastic. Vinyl is actually in full color plastic, but it's an experimental material at the moment

Whatever I can use that will stay and not chip easily will do for me. Plus I have to go out and buy some small brushes to paint the small details.

just request full color sandstone from shapeway, and they will print it in color for you.
If you don't want that, just use a primer on your models then most times you can use most paints.

Hashbro's avatar
