Oh, very nice indeed!  Your textures (wood effect and the spirals) are excellent.  Really like the cabochon in this one!

Thank you very much! Yeah, the ocean jasper can be very intriguing. :) I've got some more of them as I'm a fan of this jasper sort as well. :D

It might take some time tho. :D I can't let those wonderful cabochons go and gonna keep them for myself. But I don't have enough time to do any crafts for myself, because the most of them are for my buds. :D So it may take a while. Although there are 2 ocean jasper cabs for a bud of mine planned for May. :)

How long do you usually spend on a piece?

(Yeah, I know that's a loaded question.  When people ask me how long it took me to make a figure, I usually tell them, "50 years", since that's how long I've been learning to sculpt. ;-)  Still, I'm just curious.)

:D Well I'm not that "global" in this matter. :) The 1st time I tried polyclay sculpting was the last summer. I just took it and... crafted. I never learned it or never tried it before. :)
The time spent depends on the difficulty of each piece. The Portal Guardian was a tough one, and I've spent about 1,5 weeks on sculpting and painting it. Same for Undomiel, Gorgona's Eye or Blackthorn Vale. The other ones with some usual branches ain't taking that long. Few days, maybe - in case the piece doesn't have a beaded rope. They ain't difficult to craft but it's a long story as they are hand-crocheted. :)

Yeah, there's a difference between "difficult" and "long".  Some things are long because of a lot of small steps.  Other things may be delicate and difficult, but don't take nearly as long.  I also find that, as I practice more, things do often take less time, but sometimes I have to make myself stop "fiddling" with it.  Sometimes I have to intentionally leave a surface rough, or an edge unfinished because that's the way the piece speaks.  Others may look simple, but they take a lot of time to carefully finish the surface (like my little birds).

well, I'm impressed if you haven't been working that long with the polymer clay.  They look very nice!  Keep going with it!  :-)

Blessings!

Yeah, indeed, there are kinda different grades of what's difficult. :D And many angles depending on the artist. Some people can't do the long and boring work. So that's difficult for them, even if the small steps ain't that bad, for example. And sometimes I use the same techniques you do, too. Some pieces need the smallest details, the other ones don't. :)

I will, for sure! :)

This is my favourite of all of your pendants. It's so beautiful and perfect, yet looks ancient and weathered at the same time, like some ancient relic from a long-forgotten civilisation. I wish I had one to wear!

Thank you for the compliment, it's highly appreciated. :) This pendant was one of the most difficult ones to craft as well. :)
