I doodled along the margins of my notebook. The creatures that were spawned alongside my Biology notes were infinitely more interesting the metamorphosis of an earwig, or whatever we were studying today; I could honestly care less. What I cared about today was whether or not the clock had something out for me. The second hand taunted me like a playground bully and I would have sworn I saw it go backwards a few times. Cursing it silently, I wrote out the definition Professor Horker was writing on the board in my own chicken scratch. The side of my hand was covered in graphite dust now, and for a moment, I thought I must be part cyborg.
