Poem: DARVO in action

„I trusted you,“
he insisted, as if trust were something he could weaponize.
[Trust isn’t control. And you never truly risked it — only demanded it.]
„I never saw you,“
he confessed, as if blindness were absolution for cruelty.
[Yes. You only saw your own reflection and called it friendship.]
„Nothing depends on me,“
he said, as if my strength were a declaration of war.
[True. It never did. Because I was never dependent.]
„You were plotting this,“
he accused, as if boundaries were blueprints for betrayal.
[False. I wasn’t plotting. I was protecting my story you kept rewriting.]
„You’re trying to hurt me,“
he cried, as if being truly seen were the same as being wounded.
[No. I didn’t attack. I just burned down the cage.]
„All my words are garbage now,"
he mourned, as if my silence were a knife I had just turned.
[Then maybe they weren’t for me — but to listen to your own echo.]
„You’re devaluing everything,“
he whispered, as if truth were theft from a sacred
