It was far too quiet as X was exploring the last of the fortress. It was just him vs Sigma now & both of them knew that even if he never met this version of Sigma before. Dashing into the door he was face to face with two of Velguarder- a red one atuned to heat & flame while the blue one was more inline with ice & cold. Like a good pack of wolves they tried to corner X so that they could blast him with their weapons or just pounce on him, X was forced to keep moving during this fight, taking what shots he can during brief lulls in their attack patterns. It was a brutal fight but X won as his dive kick took down the blue one while his charged laser tore the red one to pieces. The room dimmed to almost pitch black as Sigma lowered himself down for this fight but what got X caught offguard was the fact he had a full on beard. "Welcome back, X! [VIDEO] The whole vibe of this place was grim. X could sense new dangers around the horizon as he was taking care to press forwards, taking out any Mavericks in his path. He was getting closer & closer to his final goal, all that really stood in the way was Vile but he had to get to the purple clad madman. Leaping on & over overly narrow platforms over a steep pit was nerve racking but X was used to high pressure battles. Soon jumping into a tank of water X was fighting underwater forces while moving around & over the spikes. Tensions were high here. He had to be sure that the mext foe he was re-fighting was the one & he was right. Hydro Axolotl was there again. X found that Jolt Seeker chased after him but also was his weakness weapon- which was handy as that meant X can focus more on dodging while Jolt Seeker did the work. Hydro shorted out for good as his body floated in the water, X pressed onwards on his quest for the truth. No matter what came or how bitter it was. Having to

X was in a room that was ripping hot & covered with spikes, he knew this was where Sigma sent his enemies to die. And the lava was rising up forcing X to walljump to safety here. The stakes have risen up more & X had to rise to that challenge presented to him. What followed was a elevator that X had to move around lest he was crushed by spikes, while fighting off flying drones too. Some quick combat latter & he was having to re-fight Arson Vulpine but this time he knew what to do here. Hydro Breaker was great for putting out his flames here but X had a hunch that this was only the start of a long, grueling battle to come here. Leaving the ruined husk of Arson behind X had to do some heavy platforming lest he fall into the depths & shortly after that he found Bog Snapper back for Round 2. X was getting bearings in this odd world so he was able to find his weakness weapon- Flare Burst & with some effort was able to take down the dangerous turtle Maverick. Bog burned after the battle

Sigma's Fortress [VIDEO] The mountains were Sigma parked his fortress. Seeing that brought back bad memories for X but he was going to end this nightmare once & for all. Zero called to tell him the next part. "X, you've done everything you can to disrupt Sigma's plans. His strongest Mavericks have fallen but the threat remains" "Sigma's fortress is the last place left to find answers. If he knows anything about the human settlement, I will find out" X stated as he was mentality getting ready "Sigma has been preparing for your arrival. Be careful, X & good luck" With that said by Zero, X was off facing off against the best of the worst here. Climbing up as he was fighting the Mavericks he knew that this was the end. The end was in sight & he was going to get answers here. It didn't take that long to get inside where he was met by more reinforcements. X made his way deeper into the fortress, he was getting answers & peace. Even if he had to fight to Sigma every step of the way. And

[VIDEO] Orbital Research Station High up in space X teleported in. This was it, take this down & nothing was left to protect Sigma. Zero gave the rundown as always; "X, the Mavericks are using the Orbital Research Station to control a series of surveillance satellites. These satellites are scanning the planet for signs of human activity. If any humans are alive they're in grave danger. Disable the system before they are found" "I'll remove the Maverick in charge & disable the system" It was so poorly lit here that X had to fumble a bit here. Whoever was in charge here was a fan of mood lighting as he was facing off with various security drones that hovered in the air. Electric currents & turrets littered the station as X was making sure to mind his step here. He found a Ride Armor that had cannons & a jet pack which he used to mow down the Maverick forces here as he was exploring here but he had a sense of dread over him. He was fully expecting the shoe to drop at some point. And then

[VIDEO] Desert Data Center The haze of the desert greeted X as he beamed down. Zero gave him these orders; "X, Maverick communications across the region are being routed through the Desert Data Center. Their server are coordinating troop movements & processing intelligence data. Infiltrate the faciality & put a end to it" "Understood. I'll shut them down" X was off facing off against the forces stationed in the desert. Troopers, wheels & telly bombs while also dealing with collapsing terrain here, a sign that this place was under stress. A large snake greeted him not long after the mission was started, it spat acid at him that X was not happy to be hit with damaging his helmet but he was able to take down the snake & move on with his mission. A larger missile firing robot greeted him not long after the snake here as well, X knew that he was getting closer to getting the truth here about what went down. So much firepower at the start- it was clear Sigma needed this place badly. He

[VIDEO] Forest Railway X teleported onto a moving train racing along in the dead of night, the wind whipping it as he was getting orders from Zero. "This railway has become a major Maverick transport route, their operations depend on the supplies & resources moving through this network. Stop the shipments & bring down the commander running the line" "Leave it to me" With that X went into a sprint, While dealing with missile pods & bomb dropping he was taking care to blow up all Maverick weapon supplies here. He also had to avoid falling off said train & avoiding the currents running along as he was pushing towards the commander in charge of this route. He was pleased to get a Rider Armor, using that to smash what his X-Buster could not. He did notice that there was fuel stored overhead, he took time to climb up to that, collecting the chips there as well as clearing out the enemy forces. Using Arson's weapon he was able to blow up the tanks then air dashed over to the capsule to get a

Frozen Ruins [VIDEO] X landed in a ruined land, where snow & ice were all over. "X, the Frozen Ruins contain remnants of a human research complex. Mavericks are stripping the site for technology & data. There may be clues that remain about what happened to humanity. X also took the time to gather all the chips here, out of habit plus maybe one of them held the data he & Zero needed. Still, it was better than leaving them to be collected by Mavericks. He was forced to shoot down large ice spikes to cross a icy spike pit while also fighting enemies including freeze blasting guards. When he was back outside
