I just realized I haven't been very active on this site lately, and with good reason.  I haven't been making much art lately due to a few things.  I'm starting university again for a second degree, working, and my health hasn't been that good. I was recently diagnosed with Eosinophilic esophagitis.  My esophagus has suffered some serious damage from my lethal allergy to fish, and it's taking a while to repair.  I'm on two meds that really tire me out, along with everything else I have to take to function.  It's better than not being able to swallow, though.  Eating was physically painful before treatment started.  My resting body temperature

While winter may be looming over our shoulders, and leaves drop from trees, I've been experiencing something different within my room. -Sophronitis cernua, one of my miniature orchids, is going to be opening its first flower for me in a matter of days.  They're small, eye searing orange blooms that last for several months.  Hopefully I'll be able to arrange for some pollen donations to make some hybrids. -Paphiopedilum 'Memoriam Barbara Duncan' is sending up a flower.  These are nearly black, and very slender. -Nepenthes lavicola may be flowering.  It's hard to tell, but its growth has slowed down tremendously.  This is a huge deal, since

Thanks for joining :iconnepenthes-plants: I hope to see more of your plants.
Thanks! And don't worry, you will. I have one that will drop jaws just because of how rare it is.
Oh, is it the attenbourgii? How is that doing?
It's even more expensive. The attenboroughiis are really strong! It's amazing how fast they grow for seedlings. A few of them are already turning red.

But yeah, the super rare one is an edwardsiana.
