Size A4 on 220gsm smooth cartridge paper. Many grades of pencil ranging from 5H to 6B, a 2B - 0.5mm mechanical pencil, tortillions, cotton buds, tissues and erasers. My drawing of the Actress Eliza Dushku. The necklace she's wearing was a crazy thing to draw. Size is A3. I used HB and 2B 5mm mechanical pencil, HB 7mm mechanical pencil, various other different grades of pencil, blending stumps, tissues, kneaded & normal erasers and lots of cups of tea. |

Lots and black in this, I went through so much pencil lead doing it. I liked the idea of the contrast between the light and darkness. A coloured pencil portrait of a green eyed woman with red highlighted hair. A blue background with glass shattering behind her The idea of the shattered glass behind the girl came from a smashed photo frame that I had at home. This is drawn on A4 Canson Bristol board. I started out using Derwent Academy colour pencils (only had a small set of those when I started this). I got myself a large box of Derwent Coloursoft pencils and finished it off using them. The girl is based on a photo by Alraunie-stock - fav.me/d1vebt7 |

The girl has tears running down her face, She's got her hand on her heart and there are storm clouds in the sky. She is faced with someone she loves leaving her for good. She knows that she can never get back what she had. The old building in the background is Tamworth Castle, which is actually in the town near to where I live. Based on the British Sci Fi show. Featuring Matt Smith as the Doctor. The drawing also features his companions - Amy Pond, Rory Williams, and River Song, along with two of his enemies, a Dalek and a Cyberman. Size is A3 (420mm x297mm). I used HB and 2B 5mm mechanical pencils, HB 7mm mechanical pencil, various different grades of pencil ranging from 2H – 5B, blending stumps, tissues, kneaded & normal erasers. |
Mystery

A quick pastel drawing I did in a few hours. I decided to get my pastels out and started playing around with colours on a large piece of black card. This is what I ended up with. A portrait of a woman looking onwards towards a planet, the darkness of outer space in the background. Soft pastels on black card. The original size of the drawing is about 60cm x 32 cm (23 1/2 inch x 12 1/2 inch). |
