So then, I think enough time has passed that I can share what exactly is going on and why artwork seems to be on a big delay.
There's some aspects of my private life that I'm too embarrassed to share publicly. But this one in particular does affect my ability to output more artwork.
As the title suggests, I took on a part-time job. The freelance art life isn't as easy as I though it'd be. Commissions don't really come often, and Patreon isn't the golden goose I once thought it was going to be. For the sake of my own job security in this Current Political Climate™, I can't really share where I work at. But where I work is understanding that I still freelance as an artist (it's actually how I go hired in the first place!). I've been working there for a month now. Needless to say, it was peak Christmas Season, and I was given more hours than usual to accommodate for that. The work can get demanding at times, leaving me tired when I get home. But it's a job that I really need. The money actually pays well for a part-time. So some of the money I make from that I'd like to put to helping my mother pay her bills, and to help my older sister and her family. I can also finally build the capital needed to truly expand my art career. Setting up a table at Artist Alleys, upgrading my art equipment, getting more materials (pose books, body-chan/kun models, etc), and biggest of all: making a comic centered around Chelsí and her journey to get her art into The Louvre.
With that said, I paused my Patreon Campaign for the rest of December to continue adjusting between doing artwork and going to work. The Pocky-tans where supposed to be for November. But the interview process and my personal shock of actually getting hired kinda pushed those plans back. But I made good and finished them. The rewards were already sent out to my patrons this week. I have other pics to do, but most likely they won't be done this month (another reason why I paused my Patreon campaign for Demcember).
So please understand that things might be slowing down around here until I get a handle of my artwork/part-timer schedule. I hope to get things settled by the middle of January. Better put that planner I got a few months back to good use!
